Have found it hard to progress with internal opportunities for promotion being very competitive. Optus has aggressive sales targets with big expectation on closing deals. The people you work with are great

I love working here!!! I have an amazing team & manager. The hiring process was so efficient! The training process although long & at times overwhelming, is thorough and the team is super supportive. I feel motivated to do better every day and appreciate the goal oriented & competitive sales approach as it pushes me to be my best. Optus cares about its employees and takes a detailed and dedicated approach. It also encourages and recognises talent & hard work and has an amazing structure to promotion within the company.
Employee discounts and credit, training, work culture
Great culture, environment of learning - Gaining skills of an office job in a retail setting - Requires collaboration and team work to achieve store KPIs and bonuses so I would say working in a team is crucial to your own success as well as the the store you work in.
Consulting with customers and prospects to provide phone and internet solutions • Consistently exceeded sales targets and substantially increased revenue on high-margin accessories • Track record of resolving customer complaints and devising solutions for difficult customer issues • Training team members in upselling and closing techniques • Acting as weekend store manager

Great benefit and Campus life Experience across global staffing functions with a big picture understanding of staffing systems. Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks, manage time efficiently, and interact with and influence leaders in a fast-paced environment. Ability to quickly understand business drivers and organizational dynamics and to understand the root causes of issues. Ability to represent projects from business, process, and technical perspectives.
Optus is has a great work culture. Poor top management though had made the place toxic for some people but most managers are great and supportive and encouraging
Working with Optus is a very good & well satisfied experience. Learned lots of things technically & logically with the well experienced team helping and guiding all the time
90% of staff in the Property Department are Contractors, Management Treat the Contract employees like rubbish as Management know Contractor have little rights. Most of the Staff you talk to in the Team complain about Management and the Workload and are extremely unhappy and most are looking for jobs outside Optus. Management of the Property Team appear to have phsycological issues it is clearly displayed by their erratic behavior, conflicting decision making and the continual fights and they have with their staff.
Transportation to the Sydney Optus Campus is good
Understaffed, Passive Aggressive Management towards Contracted Staff
They do two rounds of redundancies per year - April and September, so that keeps morale low while people wait to find out if they are staying or not. The management are pretty appalling in patches, but great in other patches. It just depends where you end up. People feel frustated, but there is also a lot of creativity.
Great campus - lots of fun activities
Sing Tel run the place with an iron fist.
No day was ever the same but if you have the right team then you can achieve anything. My role required that I multi task and wear many hats, the hardest part of the role is not enough hours in a day; the most enjoyable was the team I worked alongside.
Very fancy office and work life balance is good!! Pros - Great discounts on phone/internet plans - Gym inside the office - Casual attire - Decent work/life balance Cons - Management constantly changing - Forced to take too much leave (2 weeks!)
