Company culture was average.
Senior Clinical Trial Manager (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FL11 June 2019
There have many changes since I worked there (including closing of the local office) so I don't know what it's like now. When I worked there fifteen years ago, it was nice working with the co-workers and minimal upper management presence.

great place to work
Clinical Research Associate II (Current Employee) –  Detroit, MI5 May 2019
I travel on a weekly basis. I report to a manager who then reports to a project manager.
My favorite part of the job is the ability to be involved in testing/monitoring of drugs. Another favorite part of the job is the traveling because it's an opportunity to see the different part of this great country while doing what I love.

No Balance or Progression
Graphic Designer (Former Employee) –  Durham, NC13 March 2019
This company has a real problem with work/life balance. Upper management doesn't reflect how brilliant and awesome their C-Suite really is. Either your idea is taken or not even heard at all. There is no growth in the company.

Non-developer company advertises developer jobs
Associate Database Developer (Former Employee) –  Quincy, MA25 February 2019
There is no coding involved in this company. If you are a developer looking to work in software development, this is NOT the company for you. Premier uses outdated Oracle software with some of the worst bugs and user experience I've seen across all software. Was hired as a "database developer." That changed to "database builder" once my job began, even though my cubicle tag said "developer." I was brought onto a project that "urgently needed talent" along with another new hire but then our client's bureaucracy meant that most days we had little to do, and what did need to be done could only be done by one person. Office atmosphere is deathly silent - this is a 50-100 person office populated by 25 people. In conclusion, I have never seen a job and office more closely resemble a room temperature glass of skim milk.
Pros
Pay was adequate, plenty of time to develop skills in Hearthstone
Cons
Nothing to do, borderline bait and switch position, no software development

Management doesn't listen...
Start-Up Associate (Current Employee) –  North Carolina13 February 2019
Small CRO where management constantly changes processes but doesn't consult with those doing the actual work. Management sets you up to fail and the work-life balance is non-existent. They write SOPs but don't follow them often writing deviations because the processes don't work. Employees are often placed on projects that are overbid to win projects but are overwhelmingly under-delivered often burning out employees in the process. There is no company culture because things are in constant flux and managers don't know how to lead.
Pros
Co-workers are very helpful
Cons
Management is a joke!

Nice company to work for but management.......
Clinical Research Associate II (Current Employee) –  Homebased7 February 2019
I like the company overall in-spite of them promising things to clients they cannot deliver. Management is horrible- well not all management just my manager.
Pros
small company
Cons
management, and then inability to tell the sponsors no when they can't deliver

Depends on your manager
Cashier (Current Employee) –  Durham, NC8 November 2018
Everything depends on the manager you work for.

A wave of culture change is possible, but some managers don't empower, and are narcissists.

The people that should be leading the culture change are the worst.
Pros
flexible time, workmates
Cons
Senior Leadership

Manual Work
IRT Test Solutions Architect (Current Employee) –  Research Triangle Park, NC27 August 2018
Premier offers a large amount of benefits. From a flexible work schedule to tuition reimbursement. The one thing not offered is promotions and growth. With a small staff, many individuals remain in the same positions they were in 24 months ago. Few have migrated out of their home positions to be met with the philosophy of do more with less. Its rare to see someone not taking on more responsibilities than their job should normally entail.
Pros
Work from home, Flexible schedule
Cons
No advancement, Compensation is mediocre

Work is stressful. Difficult to manage a normal daily workload due to multiple ad-hoc requests. Consistent pressure to complete assignments. No work life balance.

Absolutely horrible - needed therapy after working here
Business Development (Former Employee) –  Home based office14 February 2018
Don't waste your time working here, management is nuts. You are thrown into a pack of wolves and expected to be perfect. They don't believe in learning curves even though most processes and systems are unique to them

Reasonable work place. Would not recommend to a statistician
Director, Biostatistics (Current Employee) –  Raleigh, NC11 February 2018
Premier is a small CRO. And as a statistician, you don't get involved in trial design. You are involved in the analysis of data from multiple therapeutic areas but cannot develop a good understanding of the disease you are working on
Pros
Relaxed
Cons
No professional growth opportunity

It is a good company especially for newbies as they offer attractive compensation and good benefits. Everyone seem to be happy after work as the company maintains a good communication and atmosphere between the client and employees.

High Turnover and bad culture
End User Support Analyst (Former Employee) –  Raleigh, NC24 October 2017
This place has a very high turnover and will let good people go if you are not cut throat like them. Management do not know what they are doing and got their position because of who they know. HR is very petty and they play the good old boy program.

IT Support Engineer (Current Employee) –  Durham, NC22 September 2017
awesome place to work.. .as with most places.. management is a little out of touch, but the employees are great! The company has lots of potential, they just need to do away with a little of the politics... enjoyed my time here, learned a lot!

Challenging environment
(Clinical Research Organization (CRO)) (Current Employee) –  Raleigh, NC25 August 2017
Due to the nature of the project work, it is always busy in the ITarea. The work day can start at any time, due to being a global organization. Some project work requires access to diff country vendors and colleagues. We are always learning something about sealing with unique customs or regulations. The management is generally supportive of can-do methodology and practices. Many folks are home based so group meetings are very special when in person. The hardest part of the position is keeping up with changes in personnel and technology. Applying new solutions is most enjoyable.
Pros
Flexible work environment, good people to work with
Cons
Sometime lack of communication

Finance System Implementation Specialist (Current Employee) –  Remote26 July 2017
There is a strong team culture at Premier Research which supports successful project execution. The management is supportive of their employee day-to-day successes, but career growth doesn't seem to be a big focus at Premier.
