Very stressful and toxic environment

Environment is not very nice. Management only care about you if they like you. They Expect you to do everything

Management is horrible

I originally enjoyed working at Priceline but as the management constantly changed, I found it increasingly biased and the work culture was terrible. Managers blame you for their incompetency and constantly pit you against your co workers making it a stressful and competitive work environment that is unsuitable for employees to work together comfortably. When issues arise between staff members, the management is unable to resolve the problem and attempts to force employees to pretend everything is fine. Nevertheless, if you can put up with the terrible management and unnecessary stress, the job is fairly easy to pick up and pays well above the national wage.

Pros

Pays well

Cons

Terrible and poor management

Not good

Doesnt treat you like you're important. Cares more about money than staff. Gossipy team. LOW rate of pay. Cant call in sick. Management has favourites.

Cons

Long hours, sick people always, major gossip

Bad place to work for!

Beware gossiping environment. If your sick they expect you to come in. Make you work over 6 days without consulting you. Favour employees that are friends of the manager if your not part of the group then you will get bullied and tried to be pushed out. No training given. No point complaining to h r it will make it worse for yourself.

Pros

Breaks

Cons

Stressful

Productive, fun employees to be around.

Open the store, count safe, do all paperwork and sign off on things that have been completed the day before. Count up a register and get one out for other team membersGo through if a catalogue needs to be scanned or set up for, organise any baskets of stock to be set up into "bins" for setting up of catalogue.Hardest part would be dealing with difficult customers that claimed they wouldn't come back. Our service was always amazing and we would go above and beyond to ensure customers are satisfied with their purchases.Management was always amazing, whenever I needed help if I was a little clueless there were many amazing store managers that would assist me. The staff were always awesome to work with, I could get along with almost everyone and never had an issue with someone.

Pros

Free samples of products

Bullying, lack of information, immaturity, no workflow, unorganised

Management was immature, unorganised and didn't know information or educate. Belittling, bullying and insults weren't uncommon. Both people in charge encouraged gossip and bullying. No steady workflow and management would blame things on the "non favourite" staff. High turnover.

Best company to work for

Such a great company to work for, and couldn't ask to work with a better bunch of people like I did a Priceline. Highly recommend Priceline Australia.

Decent workplace

Great, stable job. Always guaranteed shifts, also very Flexible hours if you have appointments or events to attend. If you’re fussy with what hours you’re working this job probably isn’t for you as they change up a lot.

Pros

Friendly regular customers

Cons

Low pay rate

Would not recommend

Very very corrupt management, does not care about employee well being and store that i am currently working at the air conditioner is always faulty hence on hot days cannot stand the heat. Store managers bases on favorite and would definitely not recommend working here. Management does not take into account employee safety and health. I dont mind working at Priceline but i do not enjoy it as well. Not saying all stores are like this but the store im currently work at does.

Franchise sucks, Corporate doesn't.

Love Priceline, but working at a Priceline Franchise, the culture is 2 stars. Priceline Corporate is minimum 3 stars - not so much a reflection of Priceline, but of the management I experienced.

Pros

The occasional good colleague

Cons

Franchise Management

Enjoyable Workplace, Customer Service

I only worked here for a week as part of 1-week work experience when I was in High School. A typical day at work involves restocking the shelves, helping customers find products, helping at the registers etc. I learnt how to greet customers, restocking shelves accordingly.

Pros

Easygoing

Cons

Long Hours
