Great people in the workplace. Bad management.
Supervisor (Current Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 11 May 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedYou’ll find the best team here, although management in the store generally is bad. No communication, not nice, no progression in your career. Base pay but you’re doing so much more for less. Wouldn’t recommend, maybe as a first job.

Caring, competent professional staff, home delivery and professional counselling provided on new medications and when request by customers.
Dispensary Pharmacist (Former Employee) - South Penrith NSW (Southlands Shopping Centre) - 16 April 2020
A typical day at work included communicating with colleagues, dispensing scripts correctly and promptly and counselling patients starting new medications or who have experienced side effects and want clarification if medication related. Delivering medications to certain patients homes after work finished if they had difficulty with transportation.
Learned to adapt to work with colleagues in a streamline fashion that allows efficient dispensing to take place. Listen to suggestions from colleagues.
Management; co-ordinate with staff at the front line so that the pharmacist only attended to those customers who needed more detailed information. Roster staff so that a good compliment of skills were present to attend promptly to customer needs.
Friendly and caring workplace culture and efficient work performance so that KPI's were met.
The hardest part of the job was when multiple phone calls are being received while servicing customers and having to contact doctors to clarify scripts etc...
The most enjoyable part of the job is the many thanks received from customers.

Priceline Australia insights
Areas for improvement
- Support from manager
- Sense of belonging
- Inclusive work environment
Haven’t worked for pharmacy, however reviews to me are not favourable. Doubt the company will ever be what it was once sadly.
Manager (Former Employee) - Swan Hill VIC - 12 March 2020
My 16 years at Priceline was absolutely diverse, initially the company was filled with great staff which changed after about 5 years & changed so regularly it was hard to keep up with who was our leader, they do offer lots of training, however rarely follow up with learnings, there is no transparency with senior management management and hence left wondering.

Bullying, lack of information, immaturity, no workflow, unorganised
Retail Assistant (Former Employee) - Secret Harbour WA - 24 November 2019
Management was immature, unorganised and didn't know information or educate. Belittling, bullying and insults weren't uncommon. Both people in charge encouraged gossip and bullying. No steady workflow and management would blame things on the "non favourite" staff. High turnover.

Regret
Beauty Advisor (Former Employee) - Gold Coast QLD - 15 October 2019
I regret working for Priceline. The management is AWFUL, they do not care about their employees one bit. They were so strict, I wasn’t allowed to talk to other employees in the store. I wasn’t allowed to go out of my designated aisle. And they would watch us on the cameras, so you couldn’t even try. So I would spend all day, every day, in my 1 aisle, without talking to any other staff. It was miserable. The training was also pretty slack, as this was my first pharmacy job I expected some training within the store, but they left me to my own devices. And just like a lot of other staff, working for Priceline made my depression and anxiety go through the roof. I’m happy I don’t work there now, but if I could go back in time, I would’ve never applied there. I wasted too many months of my life being sad and miserable, and they were months I will never get back. As for pros and cons, I can’t even say the staff discount is a pro, because it’s so low that you’re always better off buying something that’s on sale and paying the same price as the customer.
Pros
You get paid (the most minimum they could possibly legally pay you)
Cons
Everything

fun job but management is a mess and actively damage the success of the employees and company
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - sydney - 2 October 2019
two years ago this was a dynamic and thriving company but due to micromanagement and an excessive desire to cut costs and company along with the happiness of the employees and customers has gone downhill, i really hope Priceline can gain what it lost back.

Unstable workplace
Administration Assistant - Full Time (Former Employee) - Macarthur Square NSW - 7 May 2019
Not a mentally healthy, negative and childish environment to be apart of. I did learn a lot being apart of that workplace but mentally couldn't work at Priceline MacArthur Square anymore.
Pros
Learning how to manage a team.
Cons
negative environment

Fun starting workplace
Customer Service (Former Employee) - North Rocks, Sydney - 6 May 2019
This was my first proper Job. I had an amazing manager and enjoyed working there. I learnt how to work in retail here, how to deal with customers and how to manage my money. I made great friends here too. I was here for 3 years and a typical day involved stocking shelves, working on the till, and cleaning up rubbish. The culture was like a fairly standard pharmacy environment, very friendly. The hardest part of the job was rude customers.
Pros
Amazing management, staff discounts
Cons
Rude customers, short shifts

Would not recommend
Retail assistant (Current Employee) - Priceline Nsw - 8 April 2019
Very very corrupt management, does not care about employee well being and store that i am currently working at the air conditioner is always faulty hence on hot days cannot stand the heat. Store managers bases on favorite and would definitely not recommend working here. Management does not take into account employee safety and health. I dont mind working at Priceline but i do not enjoy it as well. Not saying all stores are like this but the store im currently work at does.

Franchise sucks, Corporate doesn't.
Retail Sales Assistant (Current Employee) - Perth WA - 6 February 2019
Love Priceline, but working at a Priceline Franchise, the culture is 2 stars. Priceline Corporate is minimum 3 stars - not so much a reflection of Priceline, but of the management I experienced.
Pros
The occasional good colleague
Cons
Franchise Management

Stand out
Dispensary Tech/ Health Hero/Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW 3 stores - 16 December 2018
Working hard for a pay rise across nine years to get a new role which pays less than before and yet a promotion into management. Well done Priceline, you don't know how to encourage good workers to stay onboard. Retaining high skilled employment doesn't seem a priority at all, and it leaves there "first class service" as a competitive angle, empty.

ungrateful, bullies

My personal experience here was absolutely awful.
Management and head office have a lack of knowledge on how staff should be treated, which is reflective in their yearly turnover
Pros
none
Cons
management, wages, no incentives
