Stressful place to work - Collegues not supportive.
Customer Service Officer (Former Employee) – Parramatta NSW – 27 March 2019
Wasn't allowed to take notes home to review after extensive training in the office. My head imploded from the amount of information given whilst training. "If you have any questions, just ask" was something I was told when I started. This statement was short lived and I felt lost in the first few weeks on the phones. I have seen my old work mates who often point and laugh when I see them around the place. I struggled in this job. I burnt out in the first few weeks and was terminated not long after which I am pleased about. One of the most stressful positions I have ever worked in and not something I would recommend.
Production Worker (Former Employee) – Bendigo VIC – 21 March 2019
Poor communication, poor management, poor work culture don't waste your time. It's a numbers game the more people they hire and fire the more commission they receive. They don't give a stuff about their employees.
Made to commit to a whole week of shifts only to have them cancelled on the day
Order Picker (Former Employee) – Virginia QLD – 19 March 2019
Programmed are terrible to work for. Constantly made to confirm weekly shifts only to have them cancel at last minute (2-3 hours before shift start). When questioned about it the replied "that's the life of a casual". Why would anyone work for such a poorly managed labour hire mob? Because of them I had turned down multiple other opportunities as I had already confirmed my shifts (only to have them cancelled on the day). When I called to ask for a position with more stability I was told there was nothing available, called the after-hours number to check and was advised my profile had been "archived"? These guys just want to get number on their books.
Worked for them at Several Locations in Brisbane , both Occasions they never once Called to see how i was going in the positions they obtained for me... In Short , they don't give a Toss as long as they Get their 35-40% Increase from the Employer and they are as Handy as a Screen Door on a Submarine 👎
Process Worker (Former Employee) – Melbourne South East VIC – 14 March 2019
It is true that this place treats people just like a number, also a very backwards company in terms of treating people. Never coming back. There are better companies out there, This one just happens to be the one of the worst.
Was sent to a company and was told they built solar panels. Got to company and completely different. Constantly abused in workplace and when I called up to say I wasn't going back they black listed me.
Contractor (Former Employee) – Bell Bay TAS – 23 January 2019
Company won’t do anything for you if you loose your job due you no fault of your own. They just want you to earn them money. I worked at an industrial site in Bell Bay (TAS). Far too strict on rules and no warnings is you make a mistake, your just marched out the front door. Staff there tell lies if they don’t like you to get you sacked. Avoid the smelter at all costs.
Labourer (Former Employee) – Brisbane QLD – 17 January 2019
Vindictive & Discriminative. Discriminated against me because I told them what I thought about them when they talked me up for an excellent job opportunity, then turned around & gave it to someone else. Have had very unpleasant dealings with this mob. There are far better & more professional labour hire companies out there than this mob.
Labourer (Casual) leading hand (Former Employee) – Bendigo VIC – 8 November 2018
Worked 50+ hours a week for 1.5 years then went to a new site all was good for about a year under new management, then went back to old managers, hours cut to 2 days a week no work car no on call so I quit because there’s no way I’d work for someone like that.
Extra recruitments and no shifts, No answers on querries, their rosters are made in some mystery places even they dont know. When you call them from any number, they can forward your request to relevant departments without knowing who you are.
Team Leader (Former Employee) – Underdale SA – 27 March 2018
Over worked, under paid and micro managed, too many people that concern themselves with what others are doing than their own jobs in hopes of getting up the corporate ladder. There are better job opportunities available for better wages
Programmed is a very rewarding company to work for.
Onshore Logistics Coordinator (Current Employee) – Perth WA – 7 September 2017
A typical day at Programmed is a fast paced environment requiring you to be multi skilled and make good on the spot decisions. Working with people from all over the world teaches you to be flexible with their unique requirements. The management team is very supportive. A very rewarding position knowing that you contributed to a world class operation in the oil and gas industry.
