Customer Service Officer
CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER (Former Employee) –  Tullamarine Melbourne Airport8 October 2013
Over see operations of trucks on time arrival/departure, ensure aircraft depart on time, OH&s followed, all PPE's worn, communicate with external & internal customers, constantly stay on top with emails and reply to all customers emails in a timely and orderly manner.

Right time first time helps so much.

Great team of mangers, can not fault as everyone bounced off each other.

Myself personally I treated and spoke to all co-workers as how I would like to be from any supervisor or manager.

0400 am starts were probably the only hardest part of the job.

2 days never the same, staff, managers, external customers, passengers, aircraft departing on time, positive emails/comments phones calls gave a rewarding thank you, travelling, exceptional team work.

A great place to have worked with many very good colleges and attributes.
Leadership and Quality with Project Management (Former Employee) –  Melbourne21 July 2012
Qantas Engineering Management System had lost its way in the scheme of developing and maintaining a strong and viable Engineering Department. It seemed as though they were overshadowed by a series of Bean Counters that would not allow for advancements, this detracted from third party work that would have saved off the current QANTAS circumstances.

The days "WERE" filled with Timeline events, meeting our targets was most essential and made for interesting work flows. There were no two days the same, always something new to navigate through and something new to learn, this created worthwhile outcomes and always gave us an opportunity to educate ourselves. To the greater part all the work colleges were very amicable and would go out of their way to assist in trouble shooting or information sharing, but ultimately they were all very high skilled Tradespeople with a major sense of responsibility and ownership.
Pros
great work formats, excellent people to work with and good travel benefits.
Cons
short sighted management system, made for an unstable work environment. the shift work scenario, did make life difficult on the social and family scene.
