Qantas Freight (Current Employee) - Sydney NSW - 1 September 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedA Typical Day at Work: A regular day at Qantas Freight involves diligently loading and unloading planes. The pace is quick, and the emphasis is on safety and timely handling of cargo ONLY. What I Learned: Working here has taught me the intricacies of cargo handling and the importance of ensuring that freight is treated with utmost care. It’s a constant learning experience that melds physical work with understanding the logistics behind airline operations. Management: Management at Qantas Freight is generally supportive. Many of the male managers have gone above and beyond to ensure our needs are met and that we're set up for success. Workplace Culture: The team culture at Qantas Freight is one of its standout features. Colleagues are approachable and friendly, which makes for a positive work atmosphere. The environment promotes collaboration, respect, and teamwork. The Hardest Part of the Job: Nature has its way of challenging us, especially during the rainy days. Ensuring we remain dry while efficiently managing cargo becomes an added task, but it's an integral part of the outdoor job. The Most Enjoyable Part of the Job: The benefits at Qantas Freight are truly commendable. The staff travel discounts are a significant perk, allowing us to explore the world at more affordable rates. Conclusion: Qantas Freight is an exceptional place to work, underpinned by a supportive management, a friendly team, and enviable benefits. Whether you're passionate about aviation or logistics, this is a workplace where you can truly thrive.

Great staff travel benefits in a diverse workplace.
Flight Attendant / Team Leader (Current Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 26 April 2020
Great staff travel benefits. Diverse working culture but still needs some improvement with just reporting processes. Good remuneration but with too much disparity in wages among staff in frontline roles which can cause some contention. Flexible working arrangements for some staff on the original Flight Attendant award. There has been some improvement in support for mental health issues among staff. There is excellent service and safety training which ensures quality of services delivered to our customers.

Strong iconic Australian brand
Flight Attendant (Current Employee) - Sydney International Airport NSW - 1 April 2020
Being a cabin crew member, you need to have a passion for being with people and an ability to excel in customer service. I take pride in being one of the many faces of Qantas Airways. Each day is different as I meet new people, which can include the crew I work with. The flight attendant role is fast paced during boarding and service, and can be quite and restful other times. The most difficult part of my job is having constant jet lag. The most enjoyable side of my job is travelling to new destinations and experiencing new cultures and food.
