Great work place.

Busy but enjoyable days at work. Ongoing training provided. Management is great and very approachable. Hardest part of my job was when we lost a patient. Most enjoyable was taking care of patients and their families and seeing them leave hospital well again.

Pros

Great place to work.

Cons

Nil.

Productive, Job Satisfaction

Handover from one shift to the next . Writing information of health status of residents and new medical treatment. Organize escorts to take residents to different appointments or shopping. Continue with all aspect of day living and wound treatment plus medications. Sometimes help with doctors rounds and sending medications summary to Chemist. I like to organize my day by prioritizing tasks by their importance follow by all the paper work involved. Keep medication trolley clean, stocked up for the next team. All machines clean and available to be used in an emergency. Workplace culture; Too much power given to the wrong people. The hardest part of the job was death. To loose someone that I had a great friendship after many year of caring for. The most enjoyable part of my job is to make a difference in people's lives.

Pros

8 hours with lunch paid

Cons

only tea and coffee provided

Working in all areas of Nursing

In Aged care manging up to 30 patients and 4-5 staff. Co- worker are good and positive to work with. Organising all aspects of care. In the hospital it is a more clinical approach and a little more advanced with using machines that we use.

Pros

there can be lots of work at times.

Cons

long hours but managable, pay could be better.
