Overall good organisation to work for.
Support Officer (Former Employee) - Brisbane, QLD - 13 June 2015
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThoroughly enjoyed my time there - I am looking to transfer closer to home.
Varied start - 6.30am starts
Industry Health and Safety cleaning standards - Very High
Management - Okay
Co-workers - made some good friends. needs to get rid of the older senior staff as I witnessed regular abuses of Time keeping and efficiently practices - Ward officers were blatantly avoiding duties and the good worker had to pick up the 'slack'
Recommendation - need a private contractor such as 'Spotless' to take over and improve efficiency.
Hardest part - Varied shifts
Enjoyable part - being a part of a great organization such as Queensland Health, a reputable organization and working with the ward nurses and patients
Pros
Staff hours flexibility
Cons
Unable to jump onto Full-time permanancy due to internal management policy after 2 years

Productive and Friendly workplace
Executive Support Officer/Administration Officer (Current Employee) - Townsville, QLD - 22 October 2015
Fun work place with supportive management. Not all about the numbers but how you personally grow and develop. Decent amount of red tape and politics, but this is expected of a big company.
Pros
You get to have your breaks
Cons
staff car parking

Patient handling is in my favourite jobs.
Patient Support Officer (Current Employee) - Brisbane, QLD - 30 December 2013
However, Qld. Health is wiping out so much of everyones self esteem due to LNP Cutbacks, it's very concerning, therefore, many are seeking work elsewhere as a backup to leave this falling profession.
I love my work as a Patient Support Officer, looking after and handling patients daily, so it's with extreme regret that i have to seek work elsewhere to keep a roof over my head.
Pros
Live to care for and look after other people.
Cons
Shifts are cut back to a minimum, leaving many without enough to cover rentals and mortgages let alone live comfortably.

An interesting and rewarding environment to work in providing you land in the the right area.
Executive Support officer (Former Employee) - Corporate Services - 12 February 2013
Hit the road running. Many new skills to learn. Management is under pressure. Co-workers are all under the pump. Keeping your job. Working with happy mostly positive people.

Productive work environment where I was encouraged to learn new things.
Executive Support Officer (Former Employee) - Brisbane - Metro North HHS - 7 January 2013
Was on secondment to the position at QLD Health. A typinal day at work changed daily, main stays were monitoring budgets, email accounts, hr files of staff, correspondence in and out, taking phone calls. Enjoyed working here, on a day to day basis I was often encouraged to do new things and assistance was always on hand. The work unit I was in was very culturally friendly. The only reason I left this position was because my permanent position at Education QLD was made redundant.
Pros
cultural sensative environment, very encouraging
