Excellent agency for when you are between roles

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Great place to work as a casual ECT. Plenty of assignments available with a reasonable pay rate (for the industry). The consultants are very responsive and easy to get on the telephone if there are any issues.

Pros

Responsive temp consultants who are easy to get on the phone.

Cons

The best assignment go fast, need to be ready very early in the morning to get the best ones.

Great supportive management

Amazing management support. They are very friendly and accommodating. Also, pay you $1 as a bonus for every shift worked. They do not hold a commission from your pay, which means you get paid in full.

Pros

Supportive management and clear work role

Looked after me

They looked after me well. Great pay work life balance. I really loved working with Randstad! Cons: No garentee of hours. Called in day of. Some centres are terrible.

Great management, great pay.

Really recommended for casual work in the early childhood and care services sector. The management is very supportive. The pay is good. They have a lot of casual work available all around the year. The only thing, in my opinion, they could improve upon is their after-hours employee support. Other than that, five stars.

Professional and supportive

You were assigned a mentor that helped you at every step of your induction. They would contact you or text job offers for agency workers that you could accept or decline. The temp employer could rate you but you could also rate them. I was sent to a variety of childcare centres and when a centre likes you Randstad would give them the first preference of hiring you, so you got to go back to a familiar setting on a regular basis. It's a great company to work at generally but especially flexible hours while studying.

Pros

You pick and choose where and when you are available to work.

Cons

Sometimes the travel can be taxing.

really friendly staff

I honestly would recommend anyone to join up with Randstad, the staff are helpful and friendly. its easy to get work with them (if you aren't picky) except during Christmas break when all centres are closed of course. but yeah they're a pretty good company to be working for.

Randstad had a great team work

I enjoyed working with them and they helped me to get a full time job. They allow you to choose your work days and that gives you freedom. They are very understanding when you have a reason to not accept the shift.

fun

i work with kids and have heaps of fun but my job is not stable in anyway i can go months at a time with no work. some shifts are only 2 hours and its all over Canberra so you cant make strong relationships with the kids at work

good for workers who want flexibility

It gives you flexibility especially when you have other responsibilities. However you don't always get enough shifts and it makes it hard to pay bills.
