Comradery and solid workmanship.
I worked at the REX Adelaide Hangar for just over ten years. It was a great environment and friendly atmosphere. The engineers and hangar staff are welcoming so long as you treat them with respect in return.

Extremely professional, high standards were essential otherwise you would not have a job.
A typical flying day would consist of 4 x sectors or 5 sectors that went into an overnight. Minimum rest with a sign on the following day around 0600. Management and work culture was brilliant. I learnt First Aid and how to apply this in flight. There was an enormous amount of theory for the position. Theory and practical assessments were bi yearly. Stressful
Work place bulling from some supervisors. Some supervisors shows favouritism to certain genders. Some other workers are great and friendly to be around.

Management don't care about staff
The maintenance management and the greater management staff have no regard for their maintainers and constantly refer to the staff in Sydney as "the Sydney problem". They never want to hear of any safety concerns from engineers and view them as more of a nuisance. They also blatantly disregard safety when they want.

I loved this job very much. It was a very physical job, especially being the only flight attendant on board in charge of a whole cabin, including passengers and flight crew. However, flying from one destination to the other was exciting and flying in general was awesome.
