Good place to work
QHSE Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Houston, TX9 September 2019
Good management with equal work life balance. Very family oriented and a good place to learn and grow with the company. Room to grow and advance with the company.

Sr. Human Resources Generalist (Current Employee) –  6360 Sam Houston Pkwy, Houston, TX17 July 2019
There's advantages and disadvantages to this job like any other. Lots of changes and restructuring. But the bottling department employees have good moral and are fun and entertaining.

A job to get by
Manager (Former Employee) –  United States25 April 2019
RG lacks organization. You are held accountable for business units that consistently lose money rather than just your own business unit. Micromagement would be an understatement.
Pros
See new innovations
Cons
Micromanagement

Autonomous work place, a lot of work hours
Surface Data Analyst II, Geo-Steering (Current Employee) –  Denver, CO10 April 2019
You have autonomy within the job site, and work 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week. Good money, fairly easy work.

Can be stressful at times if you are Geo-steering a well.
Pros
Great Money
Cons
Long hours, not much time off.

Bubble gum & Duct tape
Field Geologist, Trainer, Surface Logger II (Current Employee) –  Hermitage, PA9 March 2019
Poorly working systems in the field often require repairs with less than ideal equipment and parts. Since those of us in the field are the first line when things break, would be great to fix things properly.
Pros
Plenty of hours, Good entry level experience
Cons
No paid time off, Flexible hours without scheduling, Lack of advancement

A lot of promises, not a lot of follow through.
PETROLEUM GEOLOGIST (Current Employee) –  Oklahoma28 February 2019
I was made a lot of promises that were just never fulfilled. They pretty much just tell you what you want to hear to keep you doing what it is they need. It would be better if they would just flat out tell you these things up front so that you don't waste time waiting for something that isn't going to happen or get your hopes up. Overall, just your typical field work company like any other mud logging company. Not any better, but not really any worse.
Pros
Pay and compensation, Benefits are okay.
Cons
Not a lot of time off, raises are minuscule, no promotions

Good place to work overall
Lead Field Technician and Shop Foreman (Former Employee) –  Midland, TX17 February 2019
Good place to work overall. Good people. Operational and assistant ops manager do the best they can for their employees. Corporate is a different story.

It's A Job
Surface Logger (Current Employee) –  Texas15 February 2019
The job title you hire in with is the job title you will leave with. Don't expect to have any chance to advance. Training is poor at best. The benefits are pretty good and the pay is ok.

Terrible Management
Surface Logger (Former Employee) –  Hermitage, PA1 November 2018
Not a place to have a career. Poor management and poor support system. I've worked 3 months straight and had management complain about my request for 2 weeks off. It was suppose to be a 3 week on and 1 week off position. Company was bought and sold 3 times during my time as an employee.
Pros
Plenty of work hours
Cons
Management was the worst

Horrible Company to Work for
Surface Logger 1 (Current Employee) –  Houston, TX27 July 2018
The company is very profit oriented and this is evidenced by very low pay offers for new and senior employees. Senior employees that have been at the company for 5+ years rarely make more than $15 dollars an hour despite having advanced degrees. Raises are promised but rarely fulfilled, working conditions are poor and in disrepair, and equipment is often barely functional and generally outdated. Management is incredibly poor and frequently misleads and lies to employees regarding assignments, raises, and promises of new equipment. Upward mobility is severely limited to non-existent and employees are able to be released at any time without notice.
Pros
relatively easy work
Cons
Long hours, poor working conditions, unreliable working schedule

Nice place to work
Wellsite Geologist (Current Employee) –  Midland, TX31 January 2018
After working with Reservoir Group for a year I have enjoyed working here and the people. They really watch your back when in the field. Shop crew is great.
