Captioner in Work from Home
on 17 December 2021
It’s freelance work so you can work at your own pace.
The work is good for some extra earning but in no way will it cover your basic expenses. There will be time when there’s a lot of projects you can pick from but sometimes there’s none to caption. There’s a lot of trials and errors too when you first started learning so it’s best to consult forums first.

You cannot meet the targets due to the ridiculous grading system...
You have to meet a certain target in order to become a 'Revver'. However, the people that grade your work are other transcriptionists and the grading is, like one person said below, all over the place. Poor quality, poor pay, rubbish company
The pay is minimal, it takes way too long to review audio and on some jobs make less than $5 per hour. Guidelines for transcription are not accurately monitored and what may be acceptable for one grader is different for another. Hours of time spend working form them and paid in cents
The review process is cruel and not very friendly people. Seems they want the task to be done for free. Would not recommend for any one to work there.

Not Worth It
Trust me - not worth your time. The decent paying jobs are almost inaudible so it takes forever to complete the transcription after several rewinds. You end up working for like $2-$3 per hour.
