Good place to work
Business Administration Trainee (Former Employee) - Rockhampton QLD - 29 January 2020
The team I worked with was very friendly and welcoming towards me when I was new. A typical day in an admin role consisted of filing, mailing, emailing, and customer service. I enjoyed my time working within this position and it provided me with an insight on how an administration office functions.

Productive and fullfilling place to work,
Team Leader Gardener (Former Employee) - Rockhampton City QLD - 20 October 2017
An average day at work can vary greatly within the scopes of the horticulture industry depending on current works with maintenance being to the highest standards at all times while planning and implementing new works into schedules which is based around hot, dry and wet seasons with the inclusion of town park and river front upgrades. All employees are given the opportunity for ongoing training for advancement, with full support from management to further your skill set as an asset to the company. Being a sub tropical climate summer can be hard at times but when you enjoy what you do it's really not all that bad. Quite easily the best part of the job is self satisfaction
Pros
Great work/life balance
Cons
Due to the large workforce advancement can be at times difficult.

A great team environment with friendly staff.
Customer Service Officer (Former Employee) - Rockhampton QLD - 30 July 2017
I learned many skills here especially working with customers and how to handle stressed out callers and ratepayers etc and calm them down when they had a complaint. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with the other staff as part of a team.
Pros
Always being cheerful and a smile goes a long way.
Cons
Being saddened by elderly customers stories or any cruelty to animals that got reported back.

Jobs at Rockhampton Regional Council
Very "political "
Team Leader/Supervisor (Former Employee) - Rockhampton QLD - 13 November 2016
Staff can "ruin" a good place to work, which it was, the work load was very high, dealing with a very public place, staff didn't like to be criticised and management tried to make everyone happy, which doesn't happen
Pros
The place too work
Cons
Some of the staff
