Core quality protocols for patient care, doctor, nurse and hospital management operations.

Amazing experience working for a public hospital with major referral system. Respectful and on-site expert training and workshop available at anytime or upon request.

Undesirable work culture, stressful workload

In my Dept. bullying, micromanagement exists. 24/7 shift work, unequal distribution of workload, management protects its own, staffs very little say on skills, tests, workflow improvements, seniors fail to exercise people mngt skill most times

Stressful, Toxic, Abusive work environment

Bullying is not recognized here, so be very careful about who you end up with as a supervisor. HR will always back up the supervisor no matter if you have an airtight case of blatant bullying. Toxic work environment where safety is not an issue, you are being paid a wage, so suck it up! I had no backup staff and was expected to do all the work and let it build up after coming back from leave. It can sometimes just take one person to ruin everything, and if that person is your supervisor then there is no way out.

Productive workplace

As it is an acute setting, which means the daily work is intensive, the overall nursing job is productive. Sometimes it will be a stressful working environment.

Keep your head down do your job and try to always turn up and avoid management as was quoted to me 'at the end of the day I have a business to run' try not to rub management the wrong way but unlike private you will gain experience with anything and everything coming thru the door.
