The company has people on long term casual instead of permanent staff, sometimes for years. The volunteers are not treated as equals. The other volunteers are great and almost all of them have the same opinion about the managment.


As a casual not sure of getting adequate shifts


I loved working for the Salvos. Some Managers were difficult to work with and as a Casual I learnt to build a rapport with each one according to how they like their store to run. As a Manager I looked after my staff and volunteers to my detriment as the Corporate side of Salvos rules with an iron fist.
