Our founder, Roman ‘Papa Schnitz’ Dyduk, wouldn’t have it any other way. He perfected the art of the schnitzel in his family kitchen and eagerly cooked for anyone who walked through the door.

When he came to Australia he wanted to do the same, so he set up schnitzel shop in Melbourne and instantly made everyone feel at home. Some years later, his sons Andrew and Tom joined him on the steel pans and together they built the Schnitz you see today....

Great food, descent place to work

The roster has completely turned over in the two years I've worked here so I have seen it all. I enjoy working here, and it is rewarding seeing the customers satisfied with quality food. The pay is ok. It's probably a good place to start for a first job with minimal experience.

Work culture

Dreadful. Stay away. Particularly the ones in Chadstone, Eastland, South Yarra and Southland. Horrendous work culture, Bosses only care of profits of which they treat their employees like S H I T, and only good to when they're 'desperate'. Unnecessary pressure given by head office and bosses which sometimes makes you wonder if any of them have any common sense. Micromanagement makes the job 10x ...

Good work environment

Very positive people surround you. Definitely a good place to work. Hours are great and a great management. However some times can get stressful but other than that it’s great.

its a nice paying job for students, and requires a bit of training and management but you don't have the opportunity to grow after a team leader. so its better to work at a chain restaurant

Good place to start
