  • I.T issues are ignored which makes it hard to do your job. Upper management and team leaders don't care and act like you are a thorn in their side when you need help with getting issues sorted. Absolutely toxic environment unless you're in their inner circle. Condescending micro management with little training offered and then thrown in the deep end with little support .

  • Toxic, overbearing, constant drama

  • Everyone’s friendly

  • Relaxed vibe

  • Serco's main focus is on business requirements not on the people that work there. Not a good workplace culture.

  • They support bulling at Acacia but Serco has valuable career

  • I couldn't emphasize more that the culture is money driven and basic wh&s is ignored, side stepped or delayed to save money. Consideration for staff or the clients in their care is negligible at best. Jobs for the boys and relatives (who are trusted to perpetuate the culture they want) is the prevailing culture. If you are intelligent and above average in awareness in Australian workplace standards then you are a threat to the establishment. You will be ignored or shafted to another area or targeted for dismissal as soon as you make your first ever mistake. The majority of upper management are a farse because they are friends or family of higher ecshalon Serco. The serious question is: " How does the Australian Government let this contractor operate without any respect for the Australian work culture that has been built over such a long time? Serco operate a Commander Control British system of management. They manage to make themselves look good on paper when you read their glossy magazines! This is especially sickening. There s no avenue of any kind to give your input. However, once a year they bribe their staff to complete the annual survey claiming they want staff input? Staff all know that Serco only wish to boast to the Govt about this year's Engagement Rate with staff which always exceeds the previous year's rate!!! Each year the prizes (bribes) for completing the survey get more and more enticing. Once the survey is complete they make some attempt to make some window dressing changes. Within 6 months everything goes back to the way they were. My experience with this company was to bring me to a nervous breakdown or to shut up and effectively swallow my tongue along with my personal and Australian values. I oscillated between the two for the last few years. Why did I stay so long? Because the experience of working with such a culturally diverse client in immigration services is the appealing part & the job itself is good. My experience with the previous contractors GSL & G4S was very good and I yearned to be treated with the respect I was then, and hoped that change would come slowly? It didn't! It won't!

  • High standard of customer service where correct information was located via their programs to ensure you were giving the correct information to customers

  • Hahaha.....You assume too much!
Serco doesn't have a company culture, it has toxic environments that thrive in a murky world that is "make money" at any cost to staff, others will come to fill jobs. Foresight and planning by Management is appalling. The Management will always ensure that they have their nest well feathered before considering staff.

Seriously. Don't waste your time with Serco.

  • Only concerned with the profit margin, not concerned with how they achieve it.

Help job seekers learn about the company by being objective and to the point.
