Productive and a fun workplace
Domestic Service Attendant (Former Employee) –  Holsworthy NSW15 June 2018
My Typical day was repetitive cleaning, I learnt about chemical handling, colour coding, management was awesome, you could joke and have a laugh with them, workplace culture was very diverse the hardest part was the heavy lifting and on my feet all day the best part was the hours and all the friends I made along the way.
Pros
Free Lunches
Cons
On My Feet All Day

interesting place to work as you were serving immigration detainees in a detention centre
Shop Assistant (Part-time) (Former Employee) –  Western Australia6 April 2017
I worked in a detention centre canteen. My day would start with restocking if it was needed, opening the shutter at 9am and serving immigration detainees. No money was exchanged as it was a point exchange system as money is not allowed into detention centres. The hardest part of my job was listening to detainees recount their stories. The best part was when detainees were released into the community with their visas. I learned to be empathic and to listen.
Pros
Great colleagues
Cons
possible danger when detainees would fight with each other

Excellent co-workers and nice environment
People & Culture Transaction Administrator (Former Employee) –  Adelaide City Centre SA28 March 2017
Every day was really busy unless payroll was locked for payments.

I learned mostly about myself and to improve how to cope with such a stressful job

It is a nice place to work, people are generally nice and respectful. Nice culture.

The hardest part of the job was to update the data in the system before the payroll cut off and answering so many calls when you were really busy

The most enjoyable part was to be able to have the flexibility of being late or early and make up the hours
Pros
Flexibility
Cons
Low salary for a really stressful job

Friendly staff, decent pay and mature management that showed good leadership skills. Advancement was possible and small opportunities arose frequently to do different duties.

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Gold Coast QLD28 February 2017
Some nice staff members. Management not so friendly or accommodating to anything. Once you've up-skilled to the highest level there's really no more advancement.
Pros
In off peak you can take a fair bit of leave
Cons
Sometimes no shifts, poor managment, young team leaders with no leadership skills

Staff can be extremely clicky. Management weren't on the same page with a lot of things which made it hard for staff when working overtime on a different line.
It's not a hard job. A lot of standing/static posts.

Grounds Maintenance and Ground Keeping (Former Employee) –  Katherine NT27 January 2017
Generally a great company to work for. They were a little bit under supplied with equipment so certain tasks had to be delayed until they could get the equipment from another base.

inbound and outbound customer service (Former Employee) –  Box Hill VIC23 January 2017
Everything was average, average work load, but typical call centre environment where you can't progress and there's no job security, eventually I left due to that anxiety.

management enjoy bullying staff
Domestic Assistant (Former Employee) –  Perth WA16 January 2017
Line managers that bully, harass, intimidate, very uncaring. I worked here at fsh for 7 months. Senior management is useless they hide nowhere to be found. You get threatened as a whole class with pink slips for doing nothing wrong constantly. Serco has already lost one contract no doubt the cleaning contract will be next.
Pros
hmmm.theres subway in the food hall.nice choc chip cookies.
Cons
rudest management.

Serco management in QLD Prison are a breed of their own
Correctional Officer (Former Employee) –  Gatton QLD8 December 2016
If you want to work for a company that does not respect you and work/life balance then this place is for you!

Management at this particular company especially HR director and former assistant director liked to play games with staff and use their position to instill fear in them by dangling their jobs over their heads.

Rumours and bullying appears to be exceptable and is often started from management and filtered down through staff.

I would not recommend this particular company to work for especially not in QLD Corrections, it will drastically effect your life.
Pros
Days off
Cons
Management, bad working conditions, not aloud to have a brain (micro managed)

A nice place to work and learn the different culture. The hardest part of the job is dealing with people from various countries.
