Horrible Customer Support, Managers, Operation Support Management
Technical Support Engineer III (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FL12 June 2019
The worst place I ever work and unfortunately still do. Management lies to you about bonuses and Support Operations Management team manipulates team scorecards by using loopholes to show executive directors how well they thrive as a team while tickets get swapped around the globe between teams trying to offset the score. Some managers care more about foozball boozball Before 5 or happy hour than taking time to listen to employee feedback that would help all teams. I heard a manager in integrations say the new branding symbol looks like a toilet seatTT. I witnessed a manager get violent and combative with employees after hours offsite. They keep job because HR tolerate. This company lie to you give shares of stock and expect you to work weekends when there is coverage. We eat our own dog food here. Training is poor and training feedback is never heard by the greater people. Management pretend to go out of way for you to get you trained and hit you with stick in back making it look like your fault and not poor management directives. If things don’t change I’m going to leave and never come back. If still have job think twice. Their stock value is fluff. More to come when know more. Stay tune.

Insecurity all the time
Manager (Former Employee) –  Hyderabad, Telangana31 May 2019
Good for product development, Customer Support or IT teams.
Worst for support functions like Legal, Finance etc., If you’re only concerned of getting good pay and stuck yourself for years just because of shares what they offer, then go ahead. But you loose out peaceful life.

Difficult to recommend
Sr. Software Engineer (Current Employee) –  California16 May 2019
The culture is an echo-chamber.
Management style is command-and-control vs. servant leadership / self-directed teams.
Engineering is bureaucracy-laden.
Pros
compensation, free snacks, facilities (mixed), personnel diversity
Cons
engineering practice, immature / no agile, cultural echo-chamber

Stay hungry, stay political
Sr. IT Communication Manager (Current Employee) –  Santa Clara, CA10 April 2019
A lot of office politics and rumor mongering. Overall the company has it's heart in the right place but will need to first let some of the Corrupt senior level Directors, VP's and exec's go before reaching it's ultimate goal. They let go of too many skilled and qualified people for no reason and it's sad to see a company lose such talent.
Pros
Nice concept
Cons
Politics, rumor mongering, fake smiles

Senior Director, Global System Integrators (Former Employee) –  Santa Clara, CA19 March 2019
I enjoyed the opportunity to build a enterprise class Strategic Partner Program at ServiceNow. Helping grow the partner contribution from zero to close to 100M was an truly a thrill ride everyday. Watching them continue to grow and scale is very fulfilling.
Pros
High growth

Senior Business Analyst (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CA18 March 2019
The company offers a "bleeding-edge" technology and service. ServiceNow makes the World of Work work better for people, by offering a cloud-based workflow engine.

Senior Sales Operations Analyst- Enterprise (Current Employee) –  Waltham, MA13 March 2019
Its very high school. Management is in it for themselves and do not care about the people that work for them. You work 12 hours a day and weekends. You are treated like the bottom of the barrel.
Pros
free snacks
Cons
pay, no collaboration, weekend insane hours.

Nice company to work for, however, management is very young and without the necessary experience. Great product, great culture, great work/home balance.

Financially rewarding with significant sacrifice
Technical Support Engineer (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FL2 December 2018
I enjoyed the benefits of a Tech Support Engineer role such as the competitive salary, stock shares, health insurance, free snacks/beer and fun activities. It was a trade off in terms of losing the career focus in order to support and improve upon a trending software platform. The sacrifice of losing a programming career to fulfill a supporting role may be too much for some especially if the trajectory ever changes or if the upward momentum loses its pace. This is scary enough to reconsider the position especially with as many TSEs they do hire. Many! Keep this in mind because there may come a time where the company inevitably lays off its support staff. However, ServiceNOW realizes this and provides an impressive stock share to keep you in place at least 3 years. So understand the tradeoff while considering the long term affects to your career. The culture at ServiceNow is extremely diverse with many technology backgrounds and an array of ethnic culture. It makes for a fun atmosphere with positive energy. However, the work is intense and you will find that you are supporting something you never feel qualified to support, until you fain the experience. Although training is provided, it only touches the service. The platform is comprehensive and you'll have to rely on Senior staff more so than any other job. The teamwork can be hectic because so many are busy with helping others. You'll look forward to a time when you become less reliant while always experiencing something new that needs senior level help. This job requires curiosity and ambition while also remaining positive  more... in light of the customer service aspect. It's a world wide operation so there are colleagues across the world. All together, I wouldn't recommend this position to anyone solidly set in the programming field. You'll lose your skillset and you'll lose experience before you can cash in the stocks. If you don't mind this sacrifice, it's a rewarding position with unknown stability. The company is new since 2004. Good luck.  less
Pros
Great benefits and awesome perks in a state without employment tax
Cons
Sacrifice skills and long term experience for supporting role

DIRECTOR (CRM, Sales Planning & Programs) (Current Employee) –  Santa Clara, CA1 December 2018
There are lot of good things about the company especially at the executive leadership level. However, when it comes to the lower level management (Director and above) it is becoming so political and toxic.
Pros
Good People at the worker bee level but not at the upper management level
Cons
Poor execution of projects

Boys club
Manager (Former Employee) –  Waltham, MA16 November 2018
I loved working at ServiceNow, but once they started to hire Dell EMC employees it became a boys club and the culture changed. The compensation is great, but it isn't worth going through the super passive aggressive tone this company puts out.

This company sets great goals and loves to celebrate them.

If it wasn't for the terrible sales managers and the culture they brought in, I would still be working there.
Pros
Free Friday lunch
Cons
Boys club, Passive aggressive during sales meetings and one on ones, do not promote growth within the company

Fast paced and exciting company. Growing pains. Company culture is still evolving.
Manager/Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Santa Clara, CA12 September 2018
Outstanding product. Very fast paced and exciting time to be in the company. Leadership has good vision and is providing good direction.
Growing pains impacting overall company culture. A number of top management are external hires so the culture is not well defined. Still evolving.
Work-life balance may be as issue because of the rapid pace.
Pros
exciting time to be part of a very fast growing company, vision and leadership
Cons
work-life balance, growing pains. unstructured processes and roles and responsibilities

DIRECTOR INSIDE SALES (EMEA) (Former Employee) –  London11 September 2018
Great product, great growth, great benefits. Leadership is based on motivation by fear. Too many layers of leadership, too many ex corp people that because it worked before in a previous life then it will work again in this new one. Not a good place to work if you value job security,

Enterprise Sales Executive (Former Employee) –  Chicago, IL14 August 2018
