Working remote at Silicon Labs can be rough. My situation was unique in that I had very little support from my manager and thus had almost no exposure to headquarters to receive credit for the work I was doing. I saw no path to career advancement. I was forced to dig myself into a hole, constantly putting out fires at small customers rather than having the freedom to focus on growing revenue and building relationships at larger customers. I was not allowed the opportunity to pursue a strategy to grow revenue, but instead told to cast a wide net and support every small customer under the sun. My personal experience aside, Silicon Labs is a good company to work for. The year I spent at headquarters was wonderful, and the company culture can't be beat. If you have an opportunity to work at headquarters, take it.
