Supportive learning environment
Receptionist/Office Administrator (Former Employee) - San Remo VIC - 10 January 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedMy time at Silverwater was supported with my learning from the beginning. It got very busy at check in/check out times but apart from that the work load was manageable. After lockdown ended there was no communication on returning, nor was my employment ended by the resort. I felt their lack of professionalism for ‘no contact’ or reply to emails poor and unexpected and for this reason would not of wanted to continue employment with them nor recommend them to others.
Pros
Good hourly rate and $5 staff meals
Cons
Early starts and late finishes

Great workplace great colleges, all training provide
Housekeeping (Current Employee) - San Remo VIC - 20 July 2022
I started at Silverwater a little over 12 months ago, due to lockdown it doesn’t feel that way but lovely housekeeping staff and restaurant/Bar! I really enjoy this job and would recommend housekeeping at Silverwater resort to just about anyone they will completely train you and will help you along the way colleges in the field are friendly and more than willing to help.

Good money
Housekeeper (Former Employee) - San Remo VIC - 18 February 2022
Pays well, enough hours if you need them but the money isn't worth the bullying and poor management. Hard work, physically demanding with no breaks. I was only here for a short amount of time and wouldn't go back
Pros
Good pay
Cons
No breaks

Rewarding hard work with great pay
Employee (Current Employee) - San Remo VIC - 18 November 2021
Seems like there are some old staff posting reviews that are overly negative or in some cases outright lies. I have worked here in housekeeping for over a year now and I can say that the work is hard but the team these days is great and the pay is better than anywhere else in the area. Don't believe the lies from disgruntled ex staff take it from the people who are working here now.
Pros
Great Pay, good fun team
Cons
hard work but rewarding

Housekeeper (Former Employee) - San Remo VIC - 17 November 2021
This place works you to the ground and don't care about staff. No police checks are done so they employ criminals as no one else will work under the poor conditions. i didn't feel safe working here with my co workers. Very very bad place for your mental health.

Not a good work environment
Housekeeper (Former Employee) - San Remo VIC - 24 October 2021
No OH&S followed, expected to carry equipment up and down 3 flights of stairs causing long term damage. Management doesn't follow protocols, no private or confidentiality as your personal life is discussed in the office amongst the head housekeeper and supervisors. Supervisors are bullies & management won't do anything about it. Toxic work environment, rooms are not cleaned properly and proper equipment isn't supplied to do your job.
Pros
None
Cons
Too many

Rude and cliquey environment
Housekeeping (Former Employee) - San Remo VIC - 19 April 2021
Rude and nasty environment to work in, very fast paced and if you can’t keep up you get no more shifts. The staff all gossip behind each other’s backs and tell the managers everything, they’re very cliquey there. No breaks most days working as a housekeeper
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Long hours no breaks

Good money
Supervisor, Food & Beverage (Current Employee) - San Remo VIC - 5 February 2020
Unless you're made full time hours can change from too much to too little. They over a great hourly rate, but be expected to be available whenever they need you.
