Involved interpreting Freedom of Information legislation, handling incoming Freedom of Information requests from Members of Parliament, the media, law firms and the public. Seeking the relevant documents requested in the application from the correct officers in the agency. Checking whether any of the information contained in the documents was exempt under the Freedom of Information Act 1991(SA) and if so, redacting that information. Writing letters to acknowledge an application is received, to request an extension of time, to consult with small businesses and operators whose documents were part of the FOI application, writing letters of determination to applicants, participating in Ombudsman review of agency FOIs and requesting further information from applicants who sent in vague applications. I kept the Freedom of Information Management System (FOIMS) up to date and assisted with various administrative tasks including preparing Board papers on a monthly basis. I organised catering and helped organise Board Meetings including field trips and accommodation. I assisted with drafting and editing Ministerial correspondence for the Minister for Tourism and coordinating Ministerial correspondence. I drafted letters and emails for use by the Chief Executive and the Chief Executive's Personal Assistant.
