It's a really tough gig, lots of work but not much time to get everything done. Gotta have a thick skin because people can be cruel and unkind.. Good people too though, hard working colleagues

Great company culture, and pay rates

Commercial Cleaner (Former Employee) - Perth CBD WA - 7 December 2023

Great support from leadership team .Every day is different, managers are supportive and on site regularly to assist. Enjoyed the regular contact with area managers and supervisors.Equipment and chemicals were never a bother to order or receive .Was always offered more work .

What is the best part of working at the company?I am happy with the company, cleaning ambulance stations is a good role.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?I haven't had situations like that.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Very good and professional, you could get help and instructions any time.What is a typical day like for you at the company?I start working in the morning, clean ambulance stations, usually three of them, after that in the afternoon I am cleaning one more station.

Dead end job with no care

Company is just open to make some money. No communication or transparency between employees.Apparently it does not matter if employees sleep during shifts or simply don’t rock up. No accountability

Terrible management and clicky work collegues

Not professional interview done in street infront of school.Never heard back from them for over a month, cleaners worn what they liked if they did wear uniforms they were bleach stained, faded.Staff very clicky dont like newbies, area managet and supervisor were best friends, untidily dress over bearing and selfrighteous..

Unfair and discriminating

School Cleaner (Former Employee) - Prospect SA - 15 May 2020

During my work time with this company, I wasn't able to get any proper training, pretty much just thrown to start working. Then they were accusing me of taking cleaning products when they know how needed those products are during the pandemic right now which is why they run out quickly, and the stock isn't enough to begin with. Also, they didn't respect my right to have a religion. The area manager I had was one sided, when I was letting her know of my problems.

No comment, as from the start to the end I felt bullied , victimized, stressed out about the whole ordeal and drama..I felt as they thought of me as some annoying insect they just want to squash..it was terrible and horrific that I worked at the school.. I even got electrocuted and noone gave me any empathy at all towards me, instead they treated me with no respect, and insisted I return back to work..bit after I SSW my doctor I got a. Medical certificate and they didn't like that..

Worked for them 7years. Cleaning a school by myself when there was meant to be 2 cleaners. No extra pay or time just expected me too do it. When they did get someone to do the job there was no training for them . Basically I had to show them what when how to do things. Site supervisor you might say without all the perks. I had to do the lot ,ordering stock,time sheets, and as i said site supervisor without pay. The school was happy with my work no complaints in 7 years and i still get fresh bread from them every week haven't worked th ere for over a year now. It all went down hill for me when we got a new area manager power trip for them. There loss

Best cleaning company to work for

SCC is by far & away the best cleaning company I have worked for. They are fair employers, allow appropriate time allocations for work sites, provide any support you may need. Their area managers are highly approachable & have your best interests in mind at all times. Excellent equipment & chemicals are supplied.

some of the people you get to work with are great the work is quick and can be very hard they certainly can push you to the limits you also need to have a strong stomach at times the job security is great however the hours are not so good especially if you have a young family

Good job but very untrusting supervisor

The jobs was very rewarding the only problem was, as i started working here at a fairly young age (17 - 18) The supervisor often felt the need to follow me around entire shifts making sure i was doing everything EXACTLY the way she would. This was not effective work supervision as she had her own area to be cleaning as well and her overseeing me would often result in the whole team finishing late.

They are good and bad

Work for the company off and on for 7 years started at BPS cleaning for a year had to leave cause the company didn't want me working after hours I finished my day work even though I Never charge them over time put on my time just from 3.to 6pm . Then the Belair primary gave me a Beautiful farewell gift. Currently working for them had some stupid warnings over the last 3 years but they paid over time but I am sure it's no to award

start work at 3 and work till 6 the environment was really enjoyable workplace also the time management was really good as you would do one building in the three hours working.

just cant get anymore hours from this compony at present. i started in August as the cleaner of the brand new ALDI store in Armadale, as well as cleaning the MRA building around the corner in Armadale... But ALDI have changed cleaners, so i lost a lot of hours.

best thing is you get to work on your own. Hardest part of the job is job security. Typical day at work involves variety which is awesome. Saying anymore just would not be right, don't really know them that well. They will take anyone, if anyone is really finding hard to look for work. give them a try.

My review on Southern Cross Cleaning is that they are an excellent company. Every day at work was a little different, I learnt a lot as you can always learn something every day. Management was excellent. The co-workers were excellent. I don't think there was anything hard. My most enjoyable was the people I was around my work mate's and people you meet in the building's.
