Amazing place for volunteer work!
Vinnies truly helped me find my first job through my six months volunteering there. I learnt lots of important skills that set me up for the job I currently have and the managers were glorious.

Very busy and fast paced, which helps the day go quicker
I really enjoyed doing work for the dole been a volunteer at St Vincent De Paul’s Greystanes. When I first started I was really unsure because I had no idea of the way the store ran. After the first week and a half I actually thought that it was really busy and fast paced which helps the day go so much quicker

Management can be extremely intimidating and patronising
Most employees are very good and fair, some managers of a very high opinion of themselves and lose the vision of assisting the vulnerable whilst squashing on others to make advancement in their careers. Great organisation to work for if you are able to make your own decisions, do not have thin skin, want versatility and variety in all aspects of this industry

I love working at St Vinnies its a volunteer position. It's rewarding and uplifting, alot of life lessons and skills to learn
You work the hours of your choice and what days. Lots to learn never a dull moment. Managers and workers great to work with. There's no hard part about working there and the most enjoyable part is helping people
Office Admin in Victoria

Apart from too heavy a workload, this NFP has a warped view of staff complaints - things started well and went downhill after 3 years or so. Heaviest workload I’ve ever had, with new tasks being allocated to me when I was already swamped. Also, most of the nice people ended up leaving.
