Pick Packer (Current Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 18 July 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedTheu promise you job and roster well in advance but message you about the job just few hours before. And if you say you cant take the up the role in short notice, you arent offered any job later. Pay advertised in the ad is differnt to what is given. Its very hard to conatct the main office to inform about any adjustments.

Productive
Pick packer (Former Employee) - Sydney Western Suburbs NSW - 29 January 2023
Once one job finished it took a while for them to get back to me for another then I heard nothing got no reply when I rang about another placement. Was very disappointed about this so ended up looking for another job elsewhere. Was not told why there was no new placement. I was not told the work was ongoing casual,it was only when another staff member I was working with told me to show up the next day that I was to continue showing up until told otherwise.... Was also told I would be placed fairly quickly but it was about a month before this happened.. As I had no commitment (young children) my availability was quite open but the 1st call I got I was asked to be there in an hour.
Pros
Hours
Cons
No communication

The work is okay, and the work timetable i excellent. They are cooperative and can be contacted at any time of the day (24/7). Magnificent work ethics. Great pay rates per hour. They give informative safety and health guidance before starting a new job at any workplace. The work is okay, and the work timetable i excellent. The management team is really good and nice. The teamwork during work hours is excellent and you get to learn a lot of new skills from workmates. The work environment is very safe, both mentally and physically.

Forklift Driver/Labourer (Former Employee) - Melbourne Eastern Suburbs VIC - 3 August 2022
8 hours a day seven days a week if needed, would be willing to work as much as possible. Enjoy operating a forklift and have done so for most of my working career, one way or another. Love the smell of working hard and putting in and helping others if they need assistance.
Pros
plenty of work, good rate for night work, really enjoy night shifts
Cons
sometimes jobs can be a long drive away

Just another labour hire company
Process Worker (Current Employee) - Brisbane South QLD - 24 July 2022
Too early to tell, it's only my first week. Offered employment in the advertised position (production assistant) 3 days after interview then started working the following week. Being upfront with them when asked about availability etc worked in my favour.
Pros
Shift I wanted, and was within distance, that I specified that I was willing to travel
Cons
Learning the rate full timers are getting, and realizing you may need to be on the hunt again in a few months time.

Pick Packer (Former Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 18 January 2020
the workers at Staff Australia were very nice and kind, always had a job for me but during start of the year it wasn't busy and so i was jobless and looking for work again. it was a really good experience and i wouldn't change a thing. Meeting new people from different cultures was really good and i loved how passionate they all were.

Lie about pay rates, allow their clients to bully you
forklift (Former Employee) - Keilor East VIC - 18 December 2019
Absolutely the worse labor hire agency around, deceitful liars who lie about pay rates to get you into job but when you get your pay the rates are 2 dollars an hour lower.Apparently according to Worksafe and the Australian government your mental and physical well being is everything....this is not the case for Staff Australia...you go on one of their assignments and the client manager can talk to you like a dog and a pig...thats ok for them. But once you complain thats it youre labelled a troublemaker. When is the Australian government going to impose penalties for this kind of behavior .

This company can dismiss without wrongdoing and there is no job security at all. They will use all their power force to focus on how they will fire you

Awful Agency, Try to Avoid.
General Labourer (Former Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 30 July 2019
Seemed good enough for the first couple of weeks then the shifts became sporadic and eventually dried up. Sent me to another labouring job but due to their constant pay screw ups I literally couldn't afford to get to work my assigned shifts. Zero support, "if you can't afford the fuel to get to the site either borrow some money or just don't turn up".

Like Sheep to the Slaughter
Waitress (Former Employee) - Eastern Creek NSW - 11 April 2019
LO Operator, Forklift Operator,
Got Sent to Large Stationary Supplier at Eastern Creek, Sydney.
They'll be advertising this job untill June, July when they murge with another mob at Erskine Park and trade under a different name.
Hopefully the new owners dump this agency on their head.
Staff Australia don't care about anyone you'll get no support from these clowns.
They'll screw your pay up and weekly and won't pay the agreed rate as per the interview agreement.
If you get instructed by the host to do a completely different role and you report back to Staff Australia about the changes as per the written agreement they force you to sign...they don't care. They only want money from you and 100s of other sheep that pass through the revolving door.
Long story short sheeple.
Just don't do it.
Don't punish yourself.
You are far better than these money grabbers.
Oh and..the Inventory is totally screwed at this host circus ..you won't find any pallet with the correct quantity or SKU.
Nope..the place is shot to shreds.
Pros
Finding lost products.
Cons
Working with clueless lazy permanent staff ring leaders.
