The most useful review selected by IndeedVery good company with nice and supportive people around. Easy to balance your life and work with WFH option at Stantec. The only issue is the salary which is a little below the current market.

Really fulfilling experience with Stantec. Genuinely felt looked after and supported.
NSW GROUP MANAGER (Former Employee) - NSW - 25 October 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Great people, supportive management, terrific spread of projects. Pays well and very supportive of staff at all levels. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Consulting is always stressful from time to time having to bid projects to keep the team busy. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The culture is very embracing and supportive. Even though many of the people have been there for a long time, they were very inclusive.

If you you want to get experience with long working hours and various projects Stantec (WGE) go for it. Salaries are okay for some people. Work life balance doesn’t exist.

So many levels of management with no idea who is who
Scientist (Current Employee) - Australia - 7 July 2020
Global company with many confusing job roles, job titles. They love trendy catchphrases and values but it is hard to see them in action. I like my immediate colleagues and team leader but upper management has no idea on how to communicate well and gloss over issues like burnout, mental health and lack of job security - especially during 2020 and coronavirus. They put out reassuring memos and emails about mental health but don't put values in action. Stantec in the Community is a nice initiative and opportunity to give back to the community. There are opportunities to work on interesting projects but you have to ask for them. Consulting has many challenges and this is universal across any consulting company - sometimes very long hours to get the job done when there aren't enough hours left in the project - other times there is nothing on and you are scrambling to find billable work. It is a rollercoaster. If you like this kind of thing and are competitive you can thrive.
Pros
Opportunity to work on interesting and diverse projects but you have to ask for it
Cons
Lack of support from management and HR, poor communication
