Good place to work
Sheet Metal Worker (Former Employee) - Crestmead QLD - 31 December 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedA decent place to work the supervisors are all really good and understanding but above them aren’t too great, the pay is decent and if you are willing to put in the work the bosses are willing to give you a pay rise for it.

Production Planner (Former Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 25 May 2023
It was pleasure working with Stramit and there is always a chance to grow. Management is supportive implementing changes or bringing new ideas to the table.

High management turnover
Regional Safety Manager (Former Employee) - Crestmead QLD - 28 September 2022
There is no job security in Stramit. When hired the longest serving manager in the room was in the company 4 months. Redundancies are the normal in the company. Watched HR made.redybdant in first 3 months, 3 General Managers in 2 years and multiple other senior managers. The fair call system is abused by employees and no matter how well you review at your monthly reviews don't expect a reward of good pay increases. So many people I worked with there are all gone on to other places. With 8 site managers not one of them there within 24 months of leaving. Share buys are not worth it either.

Stramit use to be a great place to work.
Customer Service (Former Employee) - Queensland - 29 November 2021
Over 13years I worked there, I was a CSO, very busy, often stressful, had lots of great customers, miss- treated over the years, management 7-9years were great then it went downhill, backstabbing staff were not pulled into line & is still going on now.
Pros
workmates were great
Cons
paid monthly, management

Stramit
Machine Operator - Purlins (Former Employee) - Crestmead QLD - 27 October 2019
Not a bad place to work if your looking for local work with no job experience. If you can put up with poor management, then the job is for you. Pay isn’t all too crash hot.

It was an interesting place to work, always something new happening & the staff were great to work with.
Customer Service Officer (Former Employee) - Sydney Western Suburbs NSW - 21 March 2016
A typical day at Stramit would be an early start, hit the ground running. Never a dull moment. Customer focus a must. Learnt a lot whilst working there. Management could've been a bit better towards staff. Team environment was very good, reason for staying so long in the job. Hardest part was not being able to get the customer's goods out in Full which was becoming frustrating. The most enjoyable part was when you could fulfill the customers needs going above & beyond & being appreciated by the customer.
Pros
Being able to go to appointments without being docked
Cons
We did do a lot of long hours which was ok but not really being appreciated.

Excellent place to work- professional and supportive.
Accounts Payable Officer (Current Employee) - Knoxfield Vic - 28 July 2015
Stramit has been an excellent place to work. We have worked as a team, with individual responsibilities, that work towards timely and accurate payment to vendors. i have developed good relationships with other staff and with companies we deal with. The most enjoyable part of the job is the satisfaction of knowing that it has been done well, and that our customers and our management are satisfied.
Pros
A great team environment, very supportive.
Cons
No future for our department as it is moving to shared services in Sydney.

Customer Service Coordinator (Former Employee) - Erskine Park, NSW - 11 December 2014
A standard day included taking inbound calls from customers dealing with product enquiries, pricing, availability, warranties, quotations and orders.
Co-ordinating the entry of orders into an in house system which have been received via phone, fax and e-mail.
Resolving customer complaints / credit claims.
Great fast paced environment, unfortunately long hours and way too much unpaid overtime.

Nice people to work with
Training, Quality and Compliance Coordinator (Former Employee) - Logan - 21 September 2014
The management style is old fashioned and do not seek to change. Planning is really bad and in particular in production.

Productive fun working environment
Nightshift Team leader (Former Employee) - Maddington, WA - 15 May 2014
Nightshift come in at 8pm load trucks get matrial ready for the next day finish most days at 4am
I learned team leading experience, computer skills, time management skills, working quick but safely as a team to get our work done.
My co worker were good to work with as mostly everyone got along which was great cause then we all worked together to achieve our goals per night.
Hardest part of the job would of been waiting for product to be made from afternoon shift which then caused us to be later in getting it on to the trucks by our deadline.
most enjoyable part was being able to meet our deadline each night so none of us had to stay back and work over time.
Management were ok but because they were never on the floor with us working each night they sometimes expected to much of us.
Pros
every pay day
Cons
long hours
