You aren’t treated well for how much you put into the company, the staff are always good but the workload is so stressful for minimum pay, since they’re always pushing you to do better and go above and beyond but don’t appreciate you for it

it’s not great working at subway

i wouldn’t recommend working at subway at all, I’ve worked at 2 of them and both of them were toxic and under paid. Been working for 4/5 years and now looking for a different company to match my career I wish to be in

The summary is that I was under a lot of pressure and stress, it just got to hard for me.

It was okay at first but things just didn't work out and everything just got to hard as much as l wanted to keep working at subway and try my best, it felt like everything l did just wasn't going right.

Fun workplace

I enjoyed meeting new people, learning how to make sandwiches. Know the role of what it takes to be a quick learner busy on your feet all time. Good food handling

It is great to do customer service

I have done 2 years job in Wallan subway I have done making sandwiches, veg and meat prepared and also did cleaning according to requirements. It is a great opportunity to do job and gain knowledge about food products

excellent service and friendly coworkers. It is very enjoyable job and fun place to work at. you get to know various people coming to visit Australia from various parts of the world. you get to know various languages. thank you.

the job at subway was really good the environment was friendly the stuff were kind towards each other the pay was good and was fun making sandwiches i was at the front with the others making subs

Fun and Fast Paced

I was taught all there is to know about being a sandwich artist. It was a fun energetic place to work, with a good group of people. I enjoyed the customer service aspect ie: the regular customers.

productive and out going work place

during my time working at subway i got to learn new skill from talking to costumers to baking the breads in the oven. but over all it was a great workplace from the boss to workers in the store

very poor working environment

management aren't professional at all and don't treat staff appropriately. the company itself doesn't look after the employees wellbeing. very poor salary and unable to live off the pay.

Productive and lovely environment

Overall, Subway is a good company to work at and would recommend it. It can be slightly fast passed during rush hours but is easy to maintain, co-workers are nice and understanding.

Alright, But not the best job

I quit because I hated it. The crew are nice and always helped me during training, but that's probably the only good thing. It's Subway, pretty much what you expect.

boring, repetitive, staff were less than friendly to work with. senior staff seemed miserable. would not recommend at all. was okay considering i worked minimal hours

Pay and hours

For a full time job, we received only $16 an hour and we were never offered paid leave. The hours were offered to us as if we were casual. They were not set hours. We never paid on time and sometimes waiting up to 3 days for our pay. I requested my annual leave pay and didn’t received it up to almost a week later!

Management is good, just a few bad experiences with them

I enjoyed my time working at subway as I found it to be a very active job preparing sandwiches at breakneck speeds and talking to customers. Unfortunately the pay sucks and management can be kinda bad sometimes.

Fast Paced/busy

A busy workplace with lots of responsibilities, my hours and days were flexible and the pay was above minimum wage but unfortunately didn't receive penalty rates.

If the management is not supportive you cant work in that environment.

i remembered that one day while doing my shift , my co-worker bullied me when i was very much new to Australia and report to the manager but the manager didnt take any action. From that day i have learnt that my self -respect is more important than money where ever i go.

love the food but now the work environment

didn't have the best experience there because payment kept being an issue and the other workers there were not nice to me and were not productive and lazy

Low pay and bad training.

it was a pretty horrible experience. they pay below award wages and workplace harassment was not taken seriously. I had a co-worker who was very inappropriate with other staff including myself, even after I had asked him to stop, and no action was taken. Besides from all of this they did not train me correctly and I had other juniors telling me how to do things, for managers to tell me another way, which led to a lot of confusion and me getting in trouble from the boss for doing what managers had told me to do which led a lot of frustration on my end.
