Subway
Subway Employee Review
They won't pay you properly
Team Member (Current Employee) - Rosny Park TAS - 29 November 2022
If you open the store and you're there early because that's the only way you will get your tasks done - you will not be paid until your start time. If you stay back after closing because it was really busy and it was unavoidable, they will stop paying you at 15 minutes after closing. So if you're there until midnight you're there for free! But you have to stay or you will get in trouble for not completing tasks.
Pros
Good work life balance, lots of free time, relatively easy job, people are friendly
Cons
Not being paid properly, inconsistent rosters (good luck on your sleep schedule)

Subway from the customer side looks like an easy job but it is actually very hard. You need to be on your feet long hours have to be fast . In the beginning you will feel like giving up but once you get the hang of it it’s an easy job
Pros
Decent pay, good work friends
Cons
Progress is tough

Subway
Team Member (Former Employee) - Mooloolaba QLD - 17 May 2022
I worked here in Mooloolaba and Kawana stores and had a very bad experience being understaffed with only 2 staff when needed 5 or 6 during peak times. Management didn't do anything to help when there were issues and I was paid poorly. Few workers were okay to get along with however others were hard to deal with such as vaping underage out the back while we tried to serve customers. There was very fast turn over of staff where people wouldn't come back after first trial and only two stayed through months of working. Therefore we weren't trained because they didn't take time for that. I don't like to give bad reviews and have heard of other good subways to work at but here was a very poor experience.

Overworked, underpaid, customers suck
Team Member (Current Employee) - Victoria - 23 January 2022
The job itself wasn't bad, when we were busy like any store I could be stressful but the management was poor, the owner didn't care about the employees. We were very underpaid and they employed us part time instead if casual. We were overworked often asked to work many more hours then we should, also I was lucky in charge of closing the store at 16 with no other seniors. Would be an alright job but needs different management
