The staff here were really good and so was the manager. Good working environment and i recommend it. However the hours can go quit so slow since there is a lot to do per shift.
Pros
Lollies
Cons
Long hours

I started working at Sugar Station during year 12 following a bad experience working at a car wash.
despite working alone for at Sugar Station i enjoyed a fantastic real corporate culture of which encouraged inclusion as well as genuine professional friendship.

Working conditions are fantastic and above the retail industry standards (in my opinion). Furthermore the pay is remarkable and working part time in high school i would sometimes earn as much as $1300 a fortnight!!

The best part of my experience in working for Sugar Station was definitely Management who went above and beyond in making sure i was trained and getting enough shifts (of which there is no shortage). Additionally the owners are highly respectable hard working business owners who have remarkable interpersonal skills especially in regards to development and constructive feedback.

Its sad that i must resign to focus on my degree after working here for over a year and i would highly recommend applying to sugar station for any young person of whom is seeking experience!! :)

Almost no training, but was being paid traineeship wages, and theres a pretty not good workplace culture. the turnover is high for a reason, the job itself can be challenging enough based on the location, how busy it can get, and type of consumers you can get, but management, low pay, and owners push it from unpleasant to unbearable. take the position, but look for other work as soon as you can is my advice. it can be hard to find work but not so hard you have to have a job like this. most of the time you're the only person in the store, and i was told youre not allowed to close the store to leave for any reason, so you just have a 5-6 hour period where you can't go to the toilet or eat.
Pros
free candy
Cons
no bathroom breaks is a big one

Enjoyed working there for a little while
Good lollies

Staff members have zero personality

Management is poor

You work alone for most of your shift and do not get to choose to go to the bathroom at anytime and you have to wait for the next staff member to come in for their shift until you can go

Which is highly unethical or fair.

If you’re looking for short term work then this is certainly the place for you.
Pros
Close to transport
Cons
Long hours and everything else

Very poor quality training period, lots of topics were not covered, was extremely underpaid (less than $10 an hour in a management position) when asked how to perform certain tasks that were not covered in the training period i was laughed at and left with no answers.
