Amazing group of people to work with for the most part, but a lot of favouritism and insecure young management team. The hours aren't for everybody unless you love being up well before the sunrise and well after the sunset, but amazing atmosphere being around aircrafts, passengers and the busy airport vibe.
Pros
Exciting environment, good team
Cons
Early mornings, late starts, poor management

Little training and a world of responsibility. Quick to point the finger if there’s an issue. Pay rate absolutely deplorable! Not worth travelling to work for a 4.5 hour shift for which you are only paid for 4 hours. Don’t settle for Swissport as there are no benefits or perks.
Pros
Some team mates.
Cons
Too many to list eg: hourly rate, conditions.

Working for Swissport is great fun, especially being able to work for various airlines. I think that we could be getting some more benefits eg staff travel, discounted flights.

Minimum rostered shifts are only 3 hours, minimum weekly hours is 15, however they roster you from a minimum of 9 hours and expect you to just pick up shifts. Some weeks they won’t give you any shifts. No penalty rates or loading for shifts. The hourly pay is well below industry standard. Management don’t care about staff wellbeing and there is a culture of bullying. Lack of resources to perform tasks, which make some tasks inherently dangerous to perform.
Pros
The people
Cons
Shift times and hours, poor management, poor income.

Very low pay. Promised a certain amount of hours but always ended up having much less. I enjoyed the job itself, but had to leave because of very low income.

If you accidently interrupt or even not fit in because of something medically wrong with you, best believe they will mentally abuse you to the point where you want to jump out of the window. I will never recommend working for this people. Everything you heard is true. Nasty and only the lying and Nasty survive. Working mum Leader which I choose not to follow because it is not the example I believe in

Management is terrible and two faced. Pay is extremely low and you aren’t told pay until you start the position. 3 hour shifts given no more. No thanks or acknowledgements given for your work. No benefits or perks given to staff. Do not apply to this company! The worst!

Worked there for 6 months and it was horrible. The pay is $22 an hour they won’t tell you that until your first day. Also you won’t get more then 20 hours a week unless you hand around and pick up shifts but don’t pick up to many or you will get in trouble.Nobody wants to be there they are all looking for other jobs. They’ve had over 250 people through the Doors in Canberra that is a fact! On the week I quit so did 5 others. Horrible place to work money sucks management remind you that you are replaceable on the daily.

Great job and people to work with, but management let this company down. Very unresponsive, low hours 5 three hours shifts per week is your minimum.
Not worth it.

Pay is pretty bad, no overtime, not up to the standard penalties you'd expect from shift work.

Been on ramp and cleaning from time to time. Rostering not good at all. They guarantee you only 15hrs a week and roster you only 10 to 12 hrs a week. You have to go do 3hr shifts 5 times a week to get those 15hrs.
Pros
No pros
Cons
Almost everthing

Love this job and my coworkers! Overall great environment and chances of moving up the ladder are super fast. Downfall is I believe that they don’t get paid enough for the work they do and inadequate training. If they put more effort in taking care of their employees in terms of adequate training and an increase in wages it’s be perfect! Sometimes management play favours and it’s obvious but otherwise the people are great. Something different everyday!!
Pros
Meeting new people, upskill fast
Cons
Underpaid, stressful job, fast paced

The job is good for a part timer or it's suits students who can spare some 10 to 25 hours a week. The advancement opportunities are there and management supports the individual development.
Pros
team work
Cons
short shifts

Lack of recognition and reward - excelling from one position to another is met with a non-increase in pay and an increase in work load. Also, the hours are sporadic which means an inconsistent pay check every fortnight.
Pros
Work culture
Cons
short hours
