A good firm to work for but hard work

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
The business model places you on secondment to the client where you work from the clients premises. So you don't have much to do with systech and never really part of the client organisation either. Not a place for you if you feel work should be sociable.

Pros

Independence to serve the client as you feel fit. The pay was very good.

Cons

Long hours and no appreciation for extra effort. All about the money and felt a little souless

Systech

When I worked at Systech , it was a privately owned company . This created a family like environment. They need to provide more product training to all employees. Other than that , it’s a good place to work .

Pros

Family type environment

Cons

Communication needs to improve .

They did try to make it fun when they could.

Cookouts, Pizza, pie day etc video games, ping-pong, gym, visually pleasant working environment. The hardest part of the job was the next day. You were never fully prepared for what problems were waiting for you out of the EU.

Pros

My team was great!

Cons

What have you done for me lately attitude.

excellent work environment with truly great owner.

i enjoyed working for this company. It is an exciting and ever-changing product and services. They truly evolve to meet customer requirements and needs. Systech is an A+ provider for track and trace software and vision systems. The owner is one of the best Ive had the oportunity to work for.

Good place to work

A fine place to work where you are left to get on with minimum interference. The management are supportive however, they also place a lot of trust in the individual to make decisions.

Great Management

Amazing management, however small company and not much room for growth. New CEO seemed to do a good job making everyone happy and was definitely there for change.

Positive with full transparency

The interview process with interactive, positive and with full transparency of the role and expectations. Also, it was a mutual discussion of the position, people, needs and my skills. Overall a good process.

It’s every man for themselves

A lot of unethical things happen here don’t think everything you do good is rewarded but be sure the 1 thing you do wrong you’ll be reprimanded. Don’t expect any help from anyone

It's ok when they are busy

Beware that is there is a slight downturn in the market and you are just coming off of a commission for them I would want people to understand that they could be told to go at a moments notice with no notice period whatsoever.

Not any place I would recommend to work

This company is in an industry that is on the decline and has not been able to successfully bring any new products to market. Can’t imagine it will be around for any appreciative length of time.

Can't be trusted

Systech are good with making promises. They will keep you sweet whilst you are out there earning commissions for them. Their promise is that you get job security when you are with them, but don't be fooled by the sweet talk, when it comes down to it and you come off of a commission, if they don't want to carry you they will ask you to come in to the office, explain that things are slow out there and then ask you to go. They would agree to pay you for the rest of the day and let you go early....how kind of them. They do not pay even for a day beyond that. So, where you thought you had security, it's only as long as you are on a commission for them. Then they will let you go. So, whereas their business model offers something different to the norm, they ended up being really cut-throat. Work with Systech at your own risk.

Pros

Sometimes have interesting work.

Cons

No security whatsoever with them

Good place to work

Highly technical environment with a lot of support provide when asked for. The engineers were top notch and the supervisors were very supportive of their employees. Held regular quarterly meeting to keep employees informed of current and future projects.

Pros

Cons

Some upper management out of touch with customer's needs/reqiurements

Totally Professional

A typical day of work when started in the morning as the head office is in London UK you expect to receive alot of emails concerning the Region Americas that consistitutes of Canada, USA and Brazil. When it is 1 here the UK office closes but from 8am to 1pm you have to resolve all queries and report back to the management. Hardest part of this job is that you dont get to have holidays as i am the only one in charge and manages the Region and it has some what affected my personal life.

Pros

A growing company with a lot of new opportunity to surface

Cons

no health and dental benefits no overtime paid as this job requires consistent overtime.

Fair and balanced consulting company

I have worked for 4 different consulting companies and SysTech International Inc. is by far the best. The management treated me way better than the past three. Has always been fair to me. I have spent 13 years with the company and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a consulting position.

Pros

Accommodating to my needs and respectful

If the Company Is still in business...

I can only speak for the time that I was there. The Company kept being turned down from being sold, yet employees would not know until the deals fell through.
