A good place to work for people who enjoy being busy. Customer Service Officers are monitored closely to ensure adequate work is being done each day. Work is distributed across the state so there is always plenty to do.Good pay for the work, 35 hour working week, 5 weeks annual leave (rural).

Great company to work for, however they are not flexible with contractors (mothers returning to work ) requesting for part time positions.

Very hard to fit in

Phone, counter, staff, students, problem solving with students, teachers and management, complaints, data entry a lot of data entry, call centre. Many different personalities, but some students were very happy with their success at studies and that what we are at TAFE for.

wonderful inclusive workplace with excellent training and culture.

Liked working with a great team over this short pilot contract. Management was very supportive and ensured all OHS rules were implemented. The most enjoyable part of this job was helping student complete their enrolments to advance their personal goals,

Productive, challenging and satisfying

A typical day at work would involve clerical and admin duties; diary management, meetings/agendas/minutes and actions arising. Learned work ethics, dealing with diverse population, people with language and physical difficulties. Time management has been of greatest importance - meeting deadlines Working with a great team; people who have been supportive of each other

everyday challenges with great support networks

fun and enjoyable environment to work within, included in most objectives of the learning environment. Friendly and approachable members of staff at all levels, ongoing training and support frames, including travel to seminars on other campuses.

Pros

interacting with teachers, students from a vast variety of backgrounds

Cons

nothing to note

Unproductive and inefficient IT culture and systems.

A training ground for inexperienced SAP consultants/analysts and managers working at TAFE. No SLA in placed hence inefficient performance and poor customer service to the SAP users, they should be outsourced to company specializing in SAP supports, which will be much more cost effective. At the moment, the tax payers money are going towards these SAP contractors sitting in TAFE doing the minimal.

Pros

Great for those who does minimal at work and waiting to retire.

Cons

Management confused in the direction, Playing politics more than delivering for the benefits of TAFE, Nothing will change for better in a bad culture.

I enjoy going to work. the culture is enjoyable and challenging

I enjoy working with staff and students at TAFE. Going to work each day is always a pleasure and wages are above the normal. The current restructure is certainly taking its toll on most staff as job security is no longer a given.

Pros

Great bosses

Cons

Job Security
