Volunteer (Current Employee) –  Vancouver, WA14 October 2013
A typical day at my volunteer organization is one filled the perfect balance of hard work and fun downtime. I learned new skills on how to listen properly to all details, how to multitask, how to keep calm in scary situations, etc. My supervisor is one of the most laid back yet organized people I have ever met. My co-volunteers are the absolute sweetest group of people, and I am lucky to have shared my experience with them. The hardest part about my job is dealing with scary situations that I am potentially unprepared for. The most enjoyable part of my job is making a difference in the teen's lives that contact Teen Talk.
Pros
Unlimited snacks and drinks
Cons
Hard situations
