My usual day starts with checking what are the scheduled tasks for the day, and read and actionned on emails requests. Attend meetings to discuss different matters. As I was responsible for a couple of critical applications, I had to ensure that the applications are running effectively, planning for the adequate level computer and human resources for the smooth running of the appications. Attend to any issues arising and ensure that they are resolved as soon as possible. Prioritise tasks depending on their severity and importance.

I have always felt great as a lot of learning opportunities were given to the ones who were willing to take on challenges. The work encourages leadership amongst the individuals.

In general Telstra was one of the best company to work for however when I moved to QLD found the call center in there controlled by its inhuman (commie style) leaders leaving all Telstra values behind, Sad to say the place was like a cult, was a great to leave fighting for four odd years.
