Management played the blame game to cover up for their own faults. The most enjoyable part of the role was some other co-workers that were friendly. the hardest part of the job was not being able to please the manager, as he was a narcissist.

We work in a Major Hazard Facility and deal with explosives on a daily basis. There is alot of Loading and unloading trucks with forklifts. But get a poor pay compared with other warehousing companies. Only positives it is close to home I can work days. There is a little bit of Overtime at times which helps. Job is permanent with evergreen contract to the defence force.
Working at Thales gave you a sense of purpose. Lots of collaboration, support and encouragement to do the best that you can. No pressure to meet unrealistic expectations. Senior Staff are exceptionally supportive. Travel interstate for inductions and meetings, freedom to get your job done without micromanaging issues. I would highly recommend anyone to work at Thales.
staff collaborations, team environment
If you want an eye opener then this is the place, you will be amazed in what you make and work on out there. So much security and fantastic ppl to work for and the employees there make you feel very welcomed you really enjoy going to work. Only issues is not very secure jobs there. They mainly hire casuals as the company realise on contracts from customers all over the world so if they have not much products to make then your out of a job.
made to be comfortable , But they promise full time employment but do not follow through. Great bunch of people . relaxed atmosphere .............................................................................................................................culture is great. Hard place to work if under the pump enjoyable part is the people
I have learnt a lot of things from my wonderful colleagues and managers, they were all fun peoples to work with. Workplace culture is diverse and supports you amazingly. The hardest part of the job was walking in the tunnels for long distances, the most enjoyable part was to give support to the client in OCC.
Communication is poor. Management never seem certain of what is the next contract or the required workforce numbers. Machines are old and are always breaking down. They hire many casual operators, only to give them a brief amount of employment, and then don,t bother to keep in contact, basically leaving them in limbo.( Refer first 2 points) Low morale, and negative culture on factory floor, of long term employees. An embarrassing situation,
Snail paced environment.
No variety, stifled promotion opportunities
Thales is an engaging work environment that motivates you to do better everyday. With amazing colleagues to provide help and support throughout, it definitely makes a welcoming statement into a new workplace for a new starter. Management is excellent and provides plenty of training and feedback to bring out the nest in you.
Excellent work atmosphere
Long hours at times
No happy from the beginning oll good but later going everything crazy, so many people there working so hard and so many blaging bicouse they some frends or family with the bosses supervisor or they permanent workers if you came like a new you will work so hard and steel no happy with you no really good rubbish something stinks
- Good Engineering Practice - High respect but not much recognition - Poor Management - Everyone tends to be a leader on their own accord - Difficult to convince management with forward thinking, as they tend to take direction only from Thales France
you are able to work and complete tasks with no obstructions there is a mentality that we are all in this together a great meeting place management do try and help when they can getting responses back from customers can be a little troublesome sometimes
I feel like this role is a glorified data entry role. I did not gain any job satisfaction during my time in this role. The work performed was dictated by the Project Managers and no suggestions were really made by the planners. We were purely there to run reports and enter the monthly budget that was given to us.
Supported staff development
No job satisfaction
