Rewarding job

Feel Good working at the Alfred. Very satisfying job with friendly colleagues. Often gets very busy and finish work late that makes me tired. Especially driving home after long nights are very troublesome.

Bullying widely used and accepted as the way it is. Culture of fear so good people keep leaving. When will Health Department question the staff retention issues? Employing juniors who can be easily intimidated.

Leadership and management could be better - varies from ward to ward. There are so many bullies in nursing and no oversight regarding this from management. This is not an ideal workplace but enough to make ends meet. I am thrilled to be leaving.

Switchboard environment is toxic

I really enjoyed assisting internal and external callers with their enquiry, however switchboard management made the working environment very toxic, stressful and not a great place to work.
