Not my ideal work place
It was a very fast paced and competitive place to work but you still were able to learn a few skills for further jobs. The management was okay but sometimes the amount of stress didn't really feel like it was worth it, because of the pay rate.

It was enjoyable working there and it gave me lots of experience
The interview was fun and easy and once I got there it wasn't too nerve-wrecking. The job itself was pretty enjoyable and working in the different parts of the store was pretty easy to grasp. I was only a Christmas Casual though and my only issue was that I felt that they didn't give me extensive training and I feel that is the reason why I wasn't asked to stay on as a casual. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, I just think more training would have been very helpful.
Pros
staff benefits (50% off all their stores), good experience, good hours
Cons
No extensive training

Fun but I do not recommend
I was hired before the Christmas, for a new shop and for the first couple of days i loved it it was a great environment to work but as the weeks went on there were cracks in the management system, shifts were very unpredictable and not by our roster. our manager had made us all believe that we were being brought in as permanent staff, we completely stocked a new store for 14 hours over 2 days and we were given a half an hour break and the other management staff were completely rude. our salary was shocking to say the least, okay we had a great in store and online staff discount, but the pay was terrible and only payed every fortnight and heavily taxed. I don't recommend working for any cotton on group.
