About us
Welcome to The Reject Shop! We are a discount variety retailer built on helping Australians do more with less.

Our promise to our customers is simple; always get more for your money through the fun and excitement of discovering a new bargain. We offer a wide variety of general consumer merchandise, with particular focus on everyday needs and lifestyle
 – more... and seasonal merchandise.

The Reject Shop has a rich history and we are proud of our Australian roots. We first opened our doors in 1981 under the guidance of founders Ron Hall and John Shuster. From that first shop in Melbourne 35 years ago, we have grown to more than 340 locations nationwide.

Today, The Reject Shop employs over 5000 hard-working and dedicated team members. Our work environment is high-energy, fast-paced and fun!

Are you thinking about starting a career with us? If so, then consider the following -

• We invest in our team members and boost their potential by developing their skills.

• We offer opportunities for advancement, allowing options for career progression.

• Every team member can take advantage of our generous team member discount.

• We have a reputation for excellence in retail;

-Winner of the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award for 5 years running (2012 – 2016) in the category

of Discount Variety Retailer of the Year.

-Finalist (2016) in VERO’s RM Advancer Award, recognising outstanding risk management.

-We invest in our community through The Reject Shop Foundation – a not for profit charity that benefits

Australian kids in need.

We are always looking for enthusiastic and capable people to join the team, whether it is on the shop floor, in one of our warehouses or at our Store Support Centre.
