Weird hours, alot of pressure from management
Table Games Dealer (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 19 November 2023
Company only cares about the gamblers. Work/life balance isn't good unless you are a single person. Management place alot of stress on staff. Alot of customers have bad attitudes and are abusive when they don't win
Pros
Free uniform and food
Cons
Atmosphere

Good management/ fun workplace
Maître D/Team Lead (Former Employee) - Gold Coast QLD - 25 October 2023
Most of the management that I worked with have left now so idk about now. But management was always nice and chill and stuck up for staff, went out for drinks. It's treated as an upscale dining restaurant, but if you know your stuff you can get tipped up to $500 a day. Nothing really too hard about the job, I guess if your new maybe the dishes and all the sauces. This was one of those jobs where everyone did feel like family. And out of my 6 years of experience the first place where BOH and FOH were all good friends, has a small team so everyone works closely with eachother.
Pros
Tips, tips, tips, management, short hours, connections
Cons
No break

Staff is good, management is bad. Favouritism, work staff is not friends, just work relationship, no job sponsorship, salaried staff work more than 78hours in a fortnight,
Pros
Free food, uniform
Cons
Tasteless food, all day breakfast

Good Bottom, Weak Top
Table Games Dealer (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 5 September 2023
Great Coworkers and most lower management will have your backs so long as you do the job right. Most guests are usually amicable but there are times when Upper Management really needs to step up their game.

Benefits everything
Food and Beverage Attendant (Former Employee) - Gold Coast QLD - 3 September 2023
They provide free-meal for every shift, clean uniform as well, also another career in the star group. Even you apply for the next job, the experience at the star will be highly evaluated

Not good
Bartender (Former Employee) - Surfers Paradise QLD - 26 August 2023
Pay you wrong, back of house always smells like dookie. You will probably be used by power tripping security guards even though you are a staff member and they see you 7 times a week

Food and Beverage Attendant (Former Employee) - Pyrmont NSW - 6 August 2023
The pay rate is higher than others, stable work shift, but they have a high expectation for their staffs. Training program is really fun and helpful for work.

Not bad if you have other commitment
Croupier (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 21 July 2023
easy job over all, one thing to keep in mind is do not take customer's anger personally. One good thing is you get to work with different people everyday, and some of them might been there for ages but you never seen them around.

Casino is only for gamblers
Room Attendant/Housekeeping (Former Employee) - Gold Coast QLD - 30 June 2023
Staff is not looked after here, they treat you like you can be replaced any day by a new person. There is nothing nice about working here. Stressed out supervisors who don't know how to train new staff members properly.
Pros
Free Food
Cons
Underpaid

Great for those singles who need training, structure and hours in their job
Dealer/Floor Manager (Former Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 8 June 2023
My job was to deal games briskly, minimise errors and make money for the company. I learned about repetitive work and repetitive strain. Surveillance will want you to clean your hands. The gamblers hope you keep paying them. The managers want you to quicken your game turnover. The environment is toxic due to gambling addicts, sore losers and drunks. Whatever you do is never good enough for the neurotic, drunk, and the mischievous. Then there are tricksters hoping to fool you and score. The wages are good for singles renting a room. These days the high cost of living may dwarf the wages. After a few years I began to question my career direction. My efforts were not noticed and it was hard to get promoted. Many managers enjoy watching dealers get burnt by gamblers. Or they don't care, because gamblers are the main source of income. Nepotism and temporary alliances among staff are common. After leaving I was confronted with reality: My casino skills are not so transferable. If you're smart, make worthwhile connections. Easy to say, right?
Pros
Some meals, uniform & some training
Cons
Toxic environment, repetitive tasks & minimal help from managers

Great place to work
Left the company due to personal reason but really enjoyed working here. There are lots of benefits and opportunity to advance in the career. The position is definitely not for everyone, especially if you take things personally since you will get cursed at when people lose. That aside, it's a fun work place.

Waste of time if you want to grow up in your carrier !!! Promise promise, a lot of words no facts
Restaurant Manager (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 2 May 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? There is no best part !!! I am so curoous to see if there is any place to work worst than this What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Working with a very bad management! That do not know anything about hospitality. Example: requests and tasks without any sense to manage a restaurant What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Diveristy, help from all the management……. Nothing true What is a typical day like for you at the company? Working a lot and receiving no greetings at all. Just complaint or unbelievable requests from the management

Eventful and Busy
Security Officer (Casual) (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 23 March 2023
I worked with most teams, and always fitted in, when I needed help it was only a call away, Control always had my back, always plenty of Shift, I never had an issue with Pay. Only left due because of flyin - flyout work on Xmas Island for detention services. Overall I enjoyed my time there.
