Pays the bills
Table Games Dealer (Current Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 6 December 2022
The work is easy. Unlike most office or corp jobs you do not have to take any of your work home. The job does much require much labour, It is relatively easy on the body but does require some repetitive tasks. Bad for tall people as it requires alot of looking down.
Pros
Free meal, Star Discount.
Cons
working at night. Repetitive. Not meaningful work

An exciting job that pays decently
Table Games Dealer (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 5 June 2022
No two days are the same working in table games at The Star. If you like games, guest interaction and don't mind working in the weekends this is the job for you. The majority of time at The Star is stress free! You would come into work, do your shift and returning home with no thought about work until you are in again. You do however, have to deal with many demanding guests who think they are privileged because they wager a lot of money. If you can be thick-skinned and ignore the rubbish they spout, you will have no problems in this role. Management is supportive and will do their best to have your back and to expand your career. The culture is great and I don't think I'll ever work in another place where the team is so close. Just be prepared for shift work, working weekends and graveyard shifts! There is a good system in place for team members to swap or give away shifts with others, however weekend work is simply unavoidable.

Not bad if you have other commitment
Table Games Dealer (Former Employee) - Pyrmont NSW - 14 May 2022
easy job over all, one thing to keep in mind is do not take customer's anger personally. One good thing is you get to work with different people everyday, and some of them might been there for ages but you never seen them around.
Pros
free meals
Cons
shift work

Treats staff like less than numbers. Only care about squeezing every cent out of players. If a player has even a little money they can do as they want
Pros

Professional and Fun
Tables Games Dealer (Former Employee) - Casino NSW - 14 March 2016
My personal experience at the Star was positive in all aspects of the job. As a Table Games Dealer it was fun as we would meet so many different people from all backgrounds both colleagues and guests. At the same time it was very professional due t the fact that cash handling was a major part of the job .
Pros
Free meals, Provided and cleaned uniform
