Unrealistic deadlines, takes a long time to have safety issues fixed, management dont care about safety, get no indication of how long the day will be until the morning of.

Managers out of their depth.

Alot of incompetent managers who don't have the operational or people skills to be doing that job.Very old and worn out trucks.Poorly maintained. Again due to bad managers.

Unpaid and Poor Management

Poor management and poor people skills.Constantly under paid and always expected to do more work than what you are hired for.As a company has a poor ethnics and never show appreciation. It's a workplace for who you know and not what you are capable of doing. If your one of the boys you get the cake and the cream if not you get the crumbs and that's if your lucky.

Fun workplace

I was a casual worker, however when Covid first arrived I needed to take time off as being a close contact I then lost my job. Too many snitches on the warehouse floor

No local agreement,ie wages v rents

30 employees have left in the last three months due to management, local agreements,wages and conditions we work with the oldest equipment ever dampior wharf needs help and change of top two management positions even office staff has no wage advancement at all .

Poorly managed

Poorly Managed since sale to JP. Not what you know but who you know. No support. Despite large pay and super increases for blue collar employees there was nothing for white collar employees. IT was extremely poor due to moving everything off shore. HR personnel huge turnovers and very little support to the coal face. Covid "work from home" was an opening for senior staff to disapear!

I love working at toll construction if only I would stay home on Sundayso I can go to church food is good rate is good.weekend is too short it should be twoo weeks

Never work for them again

Useless company and treat you like a dog. The worst company in history, took 18 months to get clothes issued, cheapest useless clothing ever which fell apart within 2 weeks.

Absolutely terrible

Toll group are the most unprofessional company I’ve ever encountered. They treat their staff with disrespect and the way they treat staff with disabilities is even worse! They answer the phone with attitude and the HR department doesn’t let their staff know when they have left the company, they leave you wondering why they aren’t answering your calls and emails to then find out that the person you’re trying to contact has resigned. MONTHS I was ghosted for. I’m absolutely disgusted in this company. They send you hours out of to your way for work and once you’re there they tell you that you “weren’t needed for work” ?! They don’t tell you anything until you’re there! Time and effort wasted. I needed a job to provide for my family and these people just left me in the lurch for months on end. Absolutely fed up!

Great to work for

The division i worked for had good management who were always available for a chat and open to new ideas. Communication was usually good though in the later days of my time with Toll this started to diminish with the Toll transformation program.

Beyond a joke

Work for toll where you’re promised the world but given nothing. Poor management who literally lose contracts but walk into new cushy jobs whilst the people who did all the work get put out in the cold. Will let you accrue months of TIL but won’t give you time off then they’ll make you redundant once they’ve lost their contract due to poor management but won’t pay out the TIL you’re owed. They are so willing to run you into the ground just for numbers. They don’t care about you. Work for Toll if you want ZERO work life balance and a stress headache 5 days per week.

Loved workinf with toll in Sydney.

Great experience in N.S.W, great manager and colleges, enjoyed the time there drivers where great and always made me want to be at work.Forest lakes not so happy there culture there was very uneasy and no one helped each other constant conflict.

Horrible Culture and incompetent management is the norm.

There isn't many thing Toll gets right, the poor training, poor communication, distancing of management from any fault or responsibility, poor treatment of clients, lack of empathy for staff, lack of concern for onsite injuries or accidents, lack of duty of care, poor budgeting habits, wasteful spending, lack of accountability for a range of other business practices, poor ethics. I could go on. If it wasn't for the profitable nature of the industry, Toll should have failed long ago.

You get to meet new staff all the time (make of that what you will)

Great place to work at every body there is super friendly and you will never have a problem with any of your team mates. You will get really good money from working here

Poor management

Overall as a company they are average to work for.Management is not very good as they don't deal with issues from both sides of view if there is a problem, Toll take the easy way out and will rather sack someone instead of retraining them or dealing with a problem in a professional manner

was a good company but now negative culture

started with Toll in2007 good company see writing on the wall but when sale of company all the ethics which made us all proud to be apart of changed the enjoyment and how proud i was to work for Toll shame it has to go that way im afraid bussiness is customer service they dont look at it that way anymore im afraid to saydisappointed

Always someone around to help when/if required.As long as you and management have the same vision, it might seem like to much at the start but once you find the balance EVERYTHING SHOULD FALL INTO PLACE.
