8 questions about working at Townsville City Council
In the end I left on stress leave due to a manager that expected you to discuss any issues with him standing outside the gate and him blowing smoke in your face. He would never attend weekly catch up meetings and then come down on you for not doing what he asked.
Answered 10 March 2020I was asked to be part of the team to help improve the work culture within the organisation. The result was a red green either green hiding in a corner waiting for everyone else to solve problems or red where staff are fighting for the sake of just not agreeing. You could start as a positive enthusiastic drive. Person only to be pushed into deep depression and have contract staff desperate for a permanent position backstabbing you to try get you to either quit or disciplined. Bullying was common and untoward activities encouraged or ignored. No culture in some areas is extremely poor. Others great.
