A company with great product but relies too heavily on brand and reputation
Sales Manager (Current Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 4 June 2023
Not a high stress environment, very slow progression, unless you're 'in the club'. Much dead weight in management and many people taking advantage of the slack conditions of post covid work style.

On the surface looks great to work but behind the scenes different story
Store man (Current Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 24 October 2022
The work is easy the money for stores is good but that comes from a strong EBA which is constantly being attacked, management and some supervision are morally and ethically corrupt but are fully supported by HR and Senior corporate management so nothing you raise will ever be treated serious unless it could incriminate company, they have a strong culture of empowering those that bully or harrass and they empower those that choose the company agenda and individual agenda over collective harmony and peace
Pros
Lease car
Cons
Bully and harassment culture

Great company

Great company to work for. Depending on the dealership there can be different perks such as monthly bbqs ect, the work culture I experienced was fantastic.

DIGITAL PROGRAM MANAGER (Former Employee) - Caringbah NSW - 7 March 2022
The best company I have worked for in my entire working career....and I have worked for a few US, Asian and European multinationals across Asia and Australia. Meticulous planners, very thorough and detailed in every thing Toyota does using techniques like Kanban, Jidoka and 3M !

Bad Management - Outdated workplace culture.
Customer Service (Former Employee) - Townsville QLD - 1 March 2022
The overall workplace culture - from management to all levels of the organisation - is VERY profit driven, resulting in targets and reports that must be made to measure irrelevant variables- for example over booking to service workshop to receive a bonus, which causes vehicle technicians to struggle and not get things out in time, making for unhappy customers.
Pros
Staff benefits - discounts, sporting tickets and EAP
Cons
Toxic Culture

Boys world
District Sales Manager (Former Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 29 July 2020
Although I very much enjoyed my time at Toyota head office. I couldn’t help but notice that all high level executives and dealer principals are all outside friends. If your ever wanting to climb the corporate ladder you’d need to be in the right crowd. I’ve seen managers put in place for the wrong reasons, and unfortunately due to their lack of management experience makes the below employees work harder .
Pros
Financial and constant training
Cons
Boys club

productive, fun workplace.
parts and service (Former Employee) - Castle Hill NSW - 11 June 2020
While working at Toyota, I would help unload the truck full of delivered parts and organising them in there dedicated spaces. I would also walk them down to the pre-delivery department. At times, the mechanics will come to the window and request for a specific part to be delivered, so i would use the computer to order parts. Overall, they were all very welcoming and lovely people and the job is easy to pick up.

Liaises with MAP Robotics Founder (Current Employee) - Kemps Creek NSW - 3 March 2020
The lunchrooms, bathrooms and floors are always clean and there are noodles and free coffees for staff members at all given hours. Probably one of the best experiences is that robots/machinery helps guide or assist you in times of need.
Pros
Free lunches and Coffee
