fair compensation, well-organized, all about procedures

They have fair compensation. The organizational culture has strong commitment to rules and procedures, but it sometimes limits opportunities for creativity.

Lots expected of you in this role for poor pay

Hard work little reward ,lots of criticism of your work although there is so little time given to do the work , poor materials supplied to work with , little health and safety on site also ,no ppe supplied either ,time off is like asking for a million dollars also .

Pros

Good working hours

Cons

Hard work, too high of an expectation of what you can reasonable achieve in a standard day

productive, fun workplace.

While working at Toyota, I would help unload the truck full of delivered parts and organising them in there dedicated spaces. I would also walk them down to the pre-delivery department. At times, the mechanics will come to the window and request for a specific part to be delivered, so i would use the computer to order parts. Overall, they were all very welcoming and lovely people and the job is easy to pick up.

Fun and productive with table tennis included

The lunchrooms, bathrooms and floors are always clean and there are noodles and free coffees for staff members at all given hours. Probably one of the best experiences is that robots/machinery helps guide or assist you in times of need.

Pros

Free lunches and Coffee

Cons

English Barriers

the stress part of it

each process has equall length time of processing ,the hard part was when ypure tired and feeling sleepy, coz that was the time that ypure getting behindmthen u try to catch and more miising or damage parts you gonna make then later you can start hear a pager calling ur team leader for no good q1ualitys or missing bits and pieces which was a part of your job..

sometimes its a very stressful job

Its a fast pace production line but with helping each other we can keep on track i learn about brain storming to solve the problem any idea is welcome even it sound ridiculous its still an idea. The hardest part of the job is when there's no enough people to work for overtime and we have to work extra hours and the most enjoyable part is when we get together if we don't have work during week end or public holiday

I worked as a contractor during projects

I started at Toyota in 2000 at Port Melbourne and later in Altona as a contractor in engineering design for manufacturing motor cars. I thoroughly enjoyed my work there as a team member in new building design and equipment fitout for new model Camry. I was treated like a staff person and was called back there to work there on many projects over the 8 years.

Safety was highest priority and efficiency was high priority

The Company had a good working environment. The job was competitive and we had to keep up with technology. Toyota was always improving the machinery and introducing new technologies. The benefits of new technology were five fold. It improved efficiency; made the work easier for the production workers; made the operation safe for all users; made the vehicles more reliable;and gave me, the electrical maintenance person, exposure to new technologies. A real great place to work in. Toyota is simply the best. Toyota Motor Corporation believed in continuous improvement and the Japanese word for continuous improvement is KAIZEN. Toyota Motor Corporation also believed in SAFETY in the workplace. The Japanese word for safety is ANZEN. I am a Kaizen and ANZEN person.
