Great but inconsistent
Food Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Clayton VIC - 21 August 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by Indeedat a minimum you would make roughly 22 per hour as long as you're out and about, sometimes as much as 30 an hour during dinner rushes. For the times that you are waiting, the bonuses pay it off.

Toxic, gossip, bullying on work chat and just the environment is not a vibe What is a typical day like for you at the company? Call, document details, meetings and set a priority

Jobs at Uber
Very flexible if you are a busy person
Hard part dealing with traffic, wear and tear on my car, however very flexible. Meeting different people was also good, be careful as people, especially drunk may ruin your car. Car running costs don’t include fuel. Uber should provide drivers with discounts on fuel and mechanics. Best part was working for myself at any time. Earning depend, weekends are the best time to drive. Airport pickups are the easiest and what I got the most, depends on your area
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
Wear and tear on personal vehicle

Below minimum wage. No fuel allowance.
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Wollongong NSW - 28 September 2023
Per hour earnings often times drop to 16$/hr after fuel expenses. Lol might as well stop working. Really pointless to do this job. You have to put in crazy hours like 10 hours every day which is not possible if you're a student which I am.
Pros
Can learn how to drive and flexibility
Cons
Below min wage. Car gets trashed.

Saturated of people and a complete waste of time
Delivery Rider (Former Employee) - Perth WA - 18 September 2023
This job is over-saturated, and the payment is low, under the minimum wage, and the flexibility is a joke because there are only two schedules to receive orders
Pros
No Proa
Cons
Saturated, underpaid, and you only need to schedule to win money

Not fun
Driver (Current Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 25 August 2023
Expect to work long hours for a less than minimum pay. If working during daytime it is almost useless. Unless you are working early morning or late night shifts its not worth it. Weekend night shifts are the only profitable worthwhile way to make money with Uber

Flexibility at a cost..
Driver (Current Employee) - Sydney NSW - 26 July 2023
If you take hourly earnings and deduct taxes, commissions, city fees, airport fees, tolls and vehicle running costs including depreciation based on mileage, your true earnings are less than minimum wage. If you drive long distances from home to work, then using Uber as a defacto car pooling app is potentially worth it.
Pros
Flexibility, Choice of Vehicle, Networking
Cons
Poor Pay and General Safety

Uber is a popular ride-hailing service that revolutionized the way we commute. With its user-friendly app, Uber has made booking rides effortless. The service offers convenience and flexibility, allowing users to request a ride with just a few taps on their smartphones. Uber's extensive network of drivers ensures that rides are readily available in most cities around the world. One of the key advantages of Uber is its competitive pricing, often offering cheaper fares compared to traditional taxis. Additionally, Uber provides various options to cater to different needs, including economy rides, luxury vehicles, and shared rides.

Super flexible however low order
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 16 June 2023
It is good for someone who doesn't want to talk with anyone while working, it was an easy job, however, if it is a bad day like bad weather, low order, issues with the car, can't find the customer, driving accident, ... You have to face it yourself. Besides you will get some benefits like promotions on gas, car parts, and high pay orders on weekends. A lot of competitive drivers now a day, so you will get low order...
Pros
Flexible, discount on gas, car parts, ...
Cons
Low pay, depends on the weather, high gas cost nowadays, bad luck driving accidents, low order

Don't do it
Driver (Former Employee) - Sunshine Coast QLD - 13 June 2023
There is no money to be earned with uber they take 27.5 % of the fare then you have to pay 10% of what's left to gst from day one With fuel prices just about doubling tyers going up service fees rising if you lucky you may take 12$ an hour and then there's the time when your car has very high miles and you need a new one Take my advice do something else uber do not give a stuff about drivers or customers just bottom line You will pay out over 1000 to get going uber will give you good jobs for the first 2 months then you will start to realise your earning nothing you will try and persevere but then realise its not viable then uber just gets another mug
Pros
Nothink
Cons
No money to be made

Flexible hours and you can work where you want but the Money is poor
Uber Delivery (Current Employee) - Sydney NSW - 17 May 2023
The job itself is flexible and easy to do. It can get stressful sometimes. You get to meet people and know people after a while. The only thing I would like to see improve are the rates. The rates are very poor for the mileage they expect us to do. If your on a scooter or motorbike, then its not so bad but for Car drivers, its nor worth the effort as you use more fuel for long distance trips and then you wll want to return to where your comfortable working.
Pros
Flexible hours, no shifts
Cons
Very poor rates, Surges are not even real and their GPS is very poor

Slow
Driver (Former Employee) - Queen Street QLD - 11 May 2023
Positives first, flexible work hours. Work when you like and relatively as much or little as you want. Negatives - you are paid per task, not per hour worked and if you complete tasks at ETA you are earning between $15-$20 per hour. If you complete tasks faster than ETA, then they will assume you are not being diligent and suspend you while they review your work. But don't ever expect any feedback on the review process which in my experience takes 1 week & done expect any communication or feedback on your completed tasks in general. Dont expect any meaningful communication whatsoever

Not enough money vs costs
Uber Driver (Current Employee) - Sydney NSW - 24 April 2023
Might be worthwhile if you drive a hybrid but the risks associated with driving more often than not are not outweighed by the rewards. I have driven with uber for the last 6.5 years and while the flexibility is often useful there is rarely enough money left after costs to cover average rent and living expenses. I usually find myself slipping into tax debt in order to pay my bills. Uber very much need to reconsider their service fees.

Everyday new drivers and less job
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Pakenham VIC - 27 January 2023
Work for 3 to 6 hours and earn $30 Every few weeks new rules less money all what you earn you spend on feul. They don't care about you even if you chat them and they keep allowing more and more drivers to sign up so you hardly will make $70 in 10 hours shift . They don't care if it's your only job and you are working for them for 4 years .
Pros
No pros
Cons
Everything
