Good products but company stuck in dark ages
Area Manager - SA (Former Employee) –  Australia1 November 2018
The company has a broad range of brilliant products, unfortunately the tools of the trade in which are required to perform your job are poor. Requiring up to 3 different platforms to enter in the same data severely cuts your ability to sell and your time to make a difference in store. Not only that, 1/2 the time you’ll find the data is deleted. Other than that, the category managers seem to be at each other’s throats for career progression and it shows from a field perspective with many extra tasks you are sent via email.
Pros
Free stock
Cons
Poor management, poor tools of the trade, chaotic work load

Worst management
Packer (Former Employee) –  Minto NSW16 June 2018
There is no recognition for your hard work as the bosses only care if you show up basically. You will not progress into higher positions unless you are related to someone in management or related to a permanent employee that is favoured by management or if management personally likes you as a person rather than an employee or if you suck up to them on a daily basis. Bosses can be rude, ignorant and judgemental and base their perception of you from hear say. They treat the casual workers as if they are not part of the company even if you have worked there for years management will still look at any casual as if they have no importance to the company. You also only get 3 breaks of 20min each for a 12 hour shift and you have to fingerprint your finger each time you leave and return from your break so they can monitor if you came back late from your 20min break. Toilet breaks are basically 5min and is dependent on whether or not the machine operator is available to relieve you or not. Don't waste your time applying here.

Pen pushers who have no clue how to run a factory

Good company but contract...
N/A (Current Employee) –  NSW24 July 2017
Unilever is a good company but a lot of people are on contract which makes it hard to have a balanced lifestyle. If you don't work, you don't get paid, no annual leave and no sick leave.
