Good 2nd job but don't rely on it too much.
There are many pros to working in events such as getting paid to go to them and depending on where you're positioned, watch the event. However, the downfall is that to get any sort of regular hours, you have to travel around a lot. Without a car, this becomes very hard.The management makes it seem like you have to commit to 6 months of shifts to your "VIP Venue" and are only allowed 3 cancellations of those shifts per season. This is hard because you will only know the exact time and date of these shifts less than a week out. However, you are casual and can tell them you can't make it whenever you want. You can also request to have no VIP Venue and just take shifts at any venue as you please. This is why I say it would be a great second job, but don't rely on it as your main job.

Worst place i ever worked at
ridiculous place to work, the short hours for the amount of travelling you had to do was not worth it,Also there was a racist supervisor whom i forgot the name of, so if your from a different ethnic background i would not suggest applying for this role.

This job has an extremely amazing team based culture, working with other members makes my job and my co-workers jobs much easier. It is also one of most friendly environments I have worked in, everybody treats you with respect and helps when needed.

nice to work at events, but favouritism, intimidation tactics by management and poor pay and work conditions
I worked with vipeople for three years, and during that time I was pigeon holed into certain roles, whilst other family friends or favourite staff of management were given supervisor positions or better pay, working conditions, more consistent work and varying work roles to keep staff feeling valued and stimulated. the supervisor staff had no idea what they were doing and we're clearly out of their depth, management were never available and always on holiday or MIA. I was posted as a car park attendant for three years despite repeately asking to be given roles working in bars or rsa Marshalls or corporate suites given my experience and expertise. Staff never supplied with suncream, water or . At times they would ring up other staff and use me as a pawn to entice other staff to work shifts for them, offering form e to pick up staff at their house and drive them to work sites without my knowledge or consent. No reimbursement for the petrol I was expected to use picking up staff and for giving mobile number out to people

easy work with management favoritism
The work is easy and events run all-year round, however employees are subject to favoritism and many are disposable . The work is very simple but can at times be stressful, dependent on the event (e.g. Vivid LIght Show). A good job for someone looking for side-work or still in school.
