You spend more time at work than being at home
Baggage Handler (Current Employee) –  Melbourne VIC30 October 2017
It depends if money is more important than time... Which you don't get paid much like four hours on this day or 6 hours the next... You gotta pick up more hours just to make ends meat. But the only good thing about the job is there a lot of downtime and you get to work with planes but to be honest time is more important than money because at this job you have to put your life on hold just to make the hours you need just to survive.
Pros
Downtime
Cons
Not much hours

Hit the ground running
Flight Data Analyst (Former Employee) –  Brisbane QLD27 September 2017
Contract role, very demanding and little support.

Salary was entry level, but the expertise and speed required doesn't match up. Staff that keep up, work full hours at the office, and continue at home. Believe money constraints as Virgin tried to return to profit, and didn't appoint the correct number of staff.
Pros
Company is good
Cons
Demands is unreal

A fast pace environment to work in with hard working employees that all pull their weight to fulfil our job title.
There is no such thing as a typical day of flying. Yes, we may do the same thing in the air each day but you don't know where or who the job could possibly take you that day or week. Working with big personalities always makes the day go faster.

The day is different every day.
Flight Attendant - Cabin Manager (Current Employee) –  Brisbane Airport QLD21 April 2017
The hours are all over the place, from 5.5 hours a day to 11 hours a day. From 2-5 flights a day and from Brisbane to Melbourne to Perth in one day. Great people to work with and the hardest part of the job is the exams twice a year.

Line Trainer (Current Employee) –  Brisbane QLD20 March 2016
In the busiest of times, the whole team get together to work for the best results with the support of the supervisors.

The shift work hours can be hard and working with travellers that don't understand the need to be on time for flights is frustrating.
